I don't play slot machines myself, but my wife does. She has no strategy as such but does have a plan - that is to sit in front of it for as long as possible rather than win money.

She will play the smallest amount possible (on multiple lines) to extend the time she plays. She loves the free games because it gives her a few few seconds of play and builds her credit so that she can play longer.

The money isn't as important to her as the time spent enjoying the pixels floating by.

My mother-inlaw has a strange strategy for playing, she will bet 10 credits per line, then 15 then 20 and then back to 10. All night long. She has convinced herself that it helps her win. Personally I think she has been drinking to much of her own bath water.
