hi moker here in the States casinos are allowed to do that on the basis that they are "private clubs" and can allow, or not, anyone they choose. How exactly they can be considered a "private club" when they're open 24 hours a day to the public is beyond me but that's thee claim they make if you complain as they escort you to the door. If they have to call the police to get you to leave, the police will back them up on it too.

As far as I know, nobody has actually taken them to court over this so it may not actually hold up. I assume that the casino you were at would try something similar. You did get your money though, didn't you? That was yours, barred from the casino or not, and they have no right to it. If you didn't walk out with all that cash then you've got a hell of a law suit to hit them with.
