I've been playing online poker for years, and I love it. There's no such thing as luck in poker though, so it's impossible for you to have more or less luck than with your friends. It's all just standard deviation. Once you've played enough hands (and you can track everything online using something like PokerTracker) you'll become comfortable that the cards are coming in a truly random fashion.
