I like to play at Coushatta in Kinder, LA and recent went there with $50 on my card to play. I am a retired teacher and thought about how I should play the $50. I had recently discovered a Phoenix Gold $5 machine by accident in the high denomination area and thought about trying it because I had hit on it before, and the bonus game was "cool" and lucrative. The only problem was that it took 3 coins to get into the bonus game which happened if a Phoenix Gold symbol landed on the third reel, which meant I would only have 3 spins with the $50 I had on my card. It really was WAY out of my league, but I decided to go for it!
I loaded the $50 and hit the button. Plink! I had landed a Phoenix Gold symbol on the third! I was there! After an exciting bonus round, I was up over a $1000, which I played down to $900 and cashed out! I called my girlfriend immediately who said "Come home! Go read a book! Go to the gift shop! Eat a buffet!"! I knew I couldn't come home since I had ridden the bus, and I knew I would play more!
As luck would have it I went to the dollar Wheel of Fortune machines, and they had a new one there (2X 3x 5x) and I put in the $900 ticket. About $30 or $40 in I hit a "SPIN" and... Yahoo! I landed $400 more! Yes! The machine spit out the $400 and after hitting for $100 more, I cashed out my original $900!
I played around and then as luck would have it I hit again on a $5 Red White and Blue machine! I hit 3 Blue 7s, and some other hits, and cashed out $1000! I now had $2300! Yes! My retirement was still secure!
Anyway, I played (a little too recklessly) until I had $1700 left, and then it was time to come home! A fun and very enjoyable day at Coushatta!
