Well, as a follow-up to my previous post, today I was at a Casino and it was the busiest I think I have ever seen it. We go approximately once a month with a group of people on the bus.
I normally play some slots and mostly poker up there but my friends and the rest of the bus usually play on the slots. They were very disappointed in the day for a couple of reasons. One... they had to line up to play the slots they wanted or they had to take something else altogher and Two.... everyone said it was a "Bad Day" at the casino. There were hardly any winners on the bus at all which was really unusual.
So I would guess it depends on the casino you go to and how they have there machines set for busy and slow days.

I am confused that it was both a bad day and the players had to line up at the slots. With demand like that there should have been MORE payoffs. Maybe the electric bill was due
