Yep I too go by instinct. I get a feeling when I look at it and then I will go 3 x's and if it doesn't hit I move on. It seems to work for me so I keep doing it.
I remember once in Nasau the natives couldn't gamble and I had one approach me to supply me with the money and any money I made at the end of the night we split. I worked it that way and it worked out very well. Had a blast, made some money and met a new friend.
