That is amazing!!!
I have only won on the stand alone progressives. Machines that are not linked to other machines and the progressive jackpot is based on the amout of play in that machine only. Blazing 7's and QuickHits are the ones I seem to be drawn to. At Harrahs Rincon in San Diego , they have Blazing 7 25 cent machines. The progressive re-sets at 375.00 and goes up from there 1 cent every 2 spins until it hits again. So, I will typically look for one that has not hit in a while. One that is at say- 400 or better. If you think about it, if the jackpot only increases 1cent for every 1.50 of play it gets, it takes alot of play to get from 375.00 to 400.00! I also have noted that in EVERY instance that I have won a progressive on one of these machines, whether it be dollars or quarters, the machine is in a pay cycle BEFORE it hits. So, I usually win a bit more than the actual jackpot, before I hit. This is true on dollar and quarters. The dollars reset at 1,000 and go up from there. I have never seen one of the dollar machines reach over 1200 before hitting. Unless of course, someone hits it, without betting the max , you wont get that jackpot that way and it will likely take the machine a while before you see those 3 blazing 7's again.
