I'm sick of seeing orphan Megabucks machines in these huge casinos.

It's arguably one of the most well-known slots out there, yet more and more casinos only have one in their entire floor.

Okay, I'll admit Megabucks is the biggest slot machine ripoffs out there. But if you know me at all, you know I'm an all or nothing guy. But I often see that single machine being played with others waiting. Why not just have two, come on.

Anyway, I feel like large-jackpot progressives are dying. Jeopardy is gone, and Elvis seems next to go. Others have slow moving jackpot amounts. IGT's most popular Wheel of Fortune machines were being uninstalled from all MGM properties WHILE I was in Vegas.

Well, Shamus, I suppose the public is wising up. They don't want to play slots that eat your credits for an impossible chance at a jackpot. Games like Super Spin. I have a point to make about Super Spin, maybe I'll discuss that at a later time.

I am saddened the most by the Elvis machines being gone. I loved those and I have won pretty big on them too. Also the Jeopardy machine, I won $2500 on that about 5 years ago it was a quarter progressive and I got the 10x,Jeopardy symbol, and megajackpot symbol. I freaked and thought I won more than 2500 but that amount was pretty darn good on a quarter machine so I was happy. I also won $1000 on quarter ELvis too, kind of got the same type of symbol line up as the Jeopardy machine.

Seems that the one Megajackpot machines that are hanging around is WOF which I couldn't careless about!

There are lots of people who like those big jackpots. I think IGT needs to redesign the "host games" to be a little more exciting. Bally came up with "quick hit" single line reel games which are a little more interesting than the single line -- $3 toss away bet. They need to have bonus rounds, and all the bells and whistles of other games. That will keep the large progressives vibrant.

Also --- it would be cool if the manufacturers could come out with new games, that can hit the same mega-jackpot --- and they can cycle older machines off the floor.

Even though I don't like progressives myself, I think everyone should representation on the slot floor for the games in demand by players.

When nickels were a novelty, it was very difficult for many years to even get near a nickel machine. Now, the nickel denomination is almost "high end" (haha).

High end nickel machine. HaHa.

I think it's all psychological. You can bet big on the pennies too!
