Hi newb here. We are heading to AC next weekend for a short getaway. Staying at Ballys (free room comp) also heading to Resorts & probably Harrahs.
My favs are usually the 3 line reel machines. I usually start high 5.00 machines & work my way down.
I have not been to AC in almost a year,so my question is any machines I should be looking for? Anyone do good lately?
Also I see alot of talk on here about those penny munching machines,I never really understood why these machines are so popular. Maybe I should change my gaming habits???
Anyway thanks for making this forum,I look foward to posts coming & good luck to all whatever you may play.

in Florida Thursday at a local non-indian in Hallendale, I looked for what I played a few years back the single line 3 reel...I'm always looking for a strategy to let me play longer blocks of time (we support some local non-profits that earn money with casino bus trips..so most weeks its at least three five hour blocks)well I found one that I could play .25 on x 1... and quit after 20 plays ($5) no payback...but all the rest $1 and $5 and .25 have been converted to mostly 9 lines X various mutipliers so thats $9,$45, $2.25 are minimums you can play..we have penny but a lot are changing to two cents... Keep us informed about what you see in machines in AC and what you decide to play...I recommend lowest denominations and minimum number of lines til you get your feet wet...volitility is the name of the game with the newer machines...you really can't base your playing on what you learned before..

YES!! I always start at the minimum to stretch my money a little,my brother (oh boy) he max's EVERY bet,I always tell him to slow down. But his excuse is "you don't win the big $$$ unless you max bet"
I always try to watch who ever plays those popular penny machines & try to understand those 30 line games & such, seems my brain just can't handle all that info...LOL,thanks Pegg will keep you informed about whats going on.
Hi Metalmark...sounds like your driving there..haven't been to AC...since we mostly go with bus groups we can't control when we play... Other Players talk about hitting their casinos Sunday morning to pick up some wins from lots of money put in Saturday night ..others say very late Sunday thru very early Monday morning to pick up weekend played money...... I'm not sure of whatdays you will be there..... I do notice on every trip, when we get into Biloxi on our bus at 5 in afternoon Monday, a lot of the machines show jackpots, high pays taken out and we all seem to complain that the machines just take our money..and our play seems better as days go by......Pegg

In the wee hours of the morning my brother swears the machines payout better.
We are leaving friday not coming back till sunday afternoon,I go for the fun, plus I always enjoy hearing my brother complain that "the machines aren't paying",I always laugh at him!!
Maybe this time when I go,I'll start low & work my way up.

Hey...Give those penny machines a shot. I used to only play the reel machines, but learned that the penny machines provide a level of entertainment and possibility the reel machines could not. Try any WMS machine and throw in a couple franklins. You will enjoy it. Just don't bet too big...try two cents per line or maybe three. The gentleman next to me playing the Wizard of Oz Transmissive machine hit $1000 on a thirty cent bet. As for the comment about how 30 lines may confuse you - again, give them a try. You will be surprised how quickly you learn how they work.

Sorry i have not gotten back sooner,my internet connection went bye-bye,so we had to switch providers,so i'm back online again.
Anyway AC was fun,we stayed at bally's,so thats where we did most of our playing.
I tried Lemmings not one win at all,I also tried cleopatra,I noticed there were 2 different cleopatra's,one is a reel & the other is a video but I hit nothing on them,so at that point I was like no.... these penny machine's are not for me. Hardly any payback, plus one of the most annoying things is your playing 15 lines @1x then the machine says you win 4!!! I was like no I did'nt I LOST 11!!! So off the dollar machines I go,my fav's this weekend were crystal 7's,10x pay, & Red,white blue. I was up & down all weekend,no big pays, but I was staying even,I also won back the $$$ lost on those penny munchers.
My wife did good she hit for 200.00 & another 50.00,I lost overall 60.00 but thats including 2 meals & gas.
Overall I had a great weekend, hopefully going back soon.
