Hi, Guys -

There's been a lot of chatter on here about what it takes to make video slot games and I've been happy that you allow me to contribute from our company's perspective as a new up-and-comer on the block. Surely our other competitor friends may have other points of view.

This got me thinking - recently Casino Enterprise Mgmt. new media editor (and SMF member) Sarah Klaphake Cords visited our offices in Chicago to film a video about the process of making games. The video is complete and available now - I thought maybe you guys would enjoy it as well.

Hi Dan:

I really enjoyed the video. Your games kinda look like a throwback to the types of cartoonish graphics and themes from about 10 years ago. Would you say there is a focus on these types of games? It appears there are no STACKED WILDS (or STACKED ICE CREAMS) ... which also gives it that "time warp" feel. I wonder if there is isn't a niche in the 5-cent and 10-cent denom ... while everyone seems to be chasing the fractional credits these days.

Really enjoyed that video. It totally fascinates me how much work really does go on to make a game. Thanks for sharing.

Shamus -

The games you see in that video are generally comprised of our Innovation collection and they seemed to gear towards more of our cartoony crazy style games. Not all of our games are like that - by G2E, our slot collection will be about 20 strong, It's a good mix of everything.

We do have stacked wilds in most, if not all of our games with Free Spins. In fact, Dandy Dan the Ice Cream Man does have stacked symbols. We also have many reveal events - which is generally how a lot of slot manufacturers pull off crazy magic when you're playing games (where symbols seem to change to other big wins). We're working on a few more mathematical innovations we will reveal at G2E. Will I see you at G2E this year?

Glad you all liked the video. Thanks again for allowing me to share.

Very Interesting, Dan.
I also enjoyed watching the demos of the machines in San Diego. Are any of these now installed in Borona, ValleyView, and others in SD?

As of today in SoCal, you can find our games at Pauma, Santa Ysabel and LaPosta. There will be more coming online through the year, keep an eye out HERE (http://www.magictouchwinners.com/?page_id=252).

HI Dan
Really enjoyed the video and the various people involved from concept to end product.
We live in the Chicago area and look forward to the opening of the new Rivers casino.
Sure hope your company gets the nod from local casinos so we can play the entertaining games.
I wrote to you earlier expressing interest in your focus groups.
Hope all went well in Biloxi. We really enjoy our trips there.

I too enjoyed the video. Flashing back to the Shamus question.
It seems many of us don't like the fixed bet and trend toward mega line machines. He mentioned retro back to 5 and 10 cent games instead of the fractionals.

Where is the logic in the development of the huge multi-line penny machines that make the casinos put penny's in the cash machines. Is it driven by the casino's or the developers or some sort of market research about players?

Thanks, guys.

Torty:
I have added you to the list for future tests. And regarding Rivers: our timing wasn't right to make it into the initial install. We will be working towards an installation there (it's a great facility). You can play our games locally at Ameristar EC, Four Winds, Empress/Hollywood (Joliet) and Par-a-Dice in Peoria. We're working on a few more local installs as well.

Duekter:
Great questions (and likely could fill a whole separate thread!) Our company wasn't around the gaming industry during those early days and so now, we're creating penny games (and others) moving with the trends of the industry. With that said, from a development standpoint the penny denom opens the gate to much more mathematical variety which in the end allows more exciting bonus features and game play elements. Whether a fixed bet or one you can adjust, this is something that continues to trend market-by-market. We - like most manufacturers - will end up offering whatever it is the casino believes its players want, so long as it doesn't negatively impact the playing experience. It really is an interesting argument as players are usually split 50/50 on the topic.

FYI - To you Mississippi players out there, we received word on our license in the state today! Expect to see Incredible Technologies games there next!

Have a great 4th, everyone.
