Well the gods did not smile on me this weekend, lost, lost and then lost again. The casino was still worth the trip, it is located on the West side of the Tucson Airport on the Old Nogalas Highway. They also now have a hotel at this location. The players club is not worth the time it takes to get the card. I lost about $600 and by the end of my play I think I had accumulated about 215 points, which equals a little over $5 dollars. The casino have numerous slots but i did not find very many of the ones you all have mentioned here. They did have the older versions of Star Terk and WOZ, but none of the new stuff. Star Terk and WOZ were packed the whole time I was there both days. And I even got there on Saturday morning at about 0900 hours, no luck the machines were all taken. The deli grill is well worth the money, most sandwhichs were about $5. and very large. In fact they have a 1/2 pound hot dog, with different topping, fries and a drink for about $6. I would win small pay outs but nothing big. There were people hitting some medium pay outs but I was not one of the lucky ones. All in all the trip to the Desert Diamond was worth the time and enjoyment. I did not make it to the other casinos around Tucson. Also just a reminder there is alot of construction going on in downtown Tucson on I-10.

great to hear a players perspective on a casino you have'nt been to, did you think the decor and surroundings were nice? I suppose I would consider gambling in the wee hours of the morning If I were staying overnight there. probably the only time the locals are home in bed! lol

The hotel is brand new, with of course vallet service. I hate to say it but never got to look at the hotel, too wrapped up in trying to win. The decor of the casino is a little dark but thats normal. Parking is close to the entrance and with luck you can get a space in the 1st or 2nd row. They do have shuttles through out the parking lot for those who are farther out. Security in persent at main doors, patroling the parking lot and through out the casino. Of course free drinks, coffee a little weak for my taste but drinkable.
One of the main problems I had was the lack of ticket redeeming machines, only two through out the whole casino or you had to go to the casheriers, a real pain in the gambling time.
