View Full Version : Mr. Cashman games
Hey guys, I have a couple of friends who swear by these machines and actually refer to them as their "atm". You all know that I am not a fan of Aristocrat games but what kind of experience have you had with them? Are they worth playing? Has anyone had any good wins on any of the Mr. Cashman games?
I did play "Cashman Tonight" at Red Rock and didn't really do anything on it, so I am conflicted about the Cashman games.

They can be VERY lucrative or suck you dry of dollars! Try to find out which machines are high payback and then hope someone gets up off the machine and then, cross your fingers!
They are fun when the are hitting!;)

I'm interested in hearing about ppls experiences. Cashman games are on my top 5 list of games I avoid. If I recall, all of the Cashman machines use the playing card symbols (9,10,J,Q,K,A)? My brain will not accept this theme, LOL. However, these machines are VERY popular. But I do see people crowd around games that I know don't do well. So look forward to reading some responses to this one.

I have played the Cashman slot before. The one with the Diamonds and dotted lines that sparkle when you get a diamond. Did OK. Didnt make me want to try them again though. Plus when the cashman song comes up, it scares me.....LOL.

Hi Deb:
I really like Aristocrat's, "Mr. Cashman" series of games as well. However, knowing the types of games you like --- I don't think this is your type of game. Cashman is not a very volitile game --- it opts for frequent surprise bonus rounds which usually result in small to medium sized payouts.
Deb, I think you like a game with medium to high volitility. You are willing to spend a few $20's to get a bonus round, but then you expect some serious payout potential in the bonus round.
In the Cashman world, a typical bonus round that nets 400 credits would be considered good. I think you will just need to explain that Cashman does not have the "high octane thrills" you have become accustomed to :)

OOOOoooo! High Octane. Yes Please!!!!:D
You know what Shamus, you are right! Doesn't sound like my type of game. And Joey, I am sooooo with you on the card symbols on the reels of a game. OMG drives me and my husband crazy. We feel like it is laziness in the design dept of a manufacturer. Perfect example, Sopranos, you cannot tell me they couldn't think of other things to add to the reels? That series was so FULL of content, I watched every single episode and could have design a game better than Konami in my garage! LOL
Back to Cashman~ I think I will just watch that game for a while before I actually play it. I had a feeling Shamus, that would be the case with Cashman! Thanks for your feedback!

No, you're not the only ones. Even on my favorite White Orchid game there's the card symbols and I had found myself wondering about that before also, what did the game designers run out of ideas? Not feeling the card letters either guys!
Any where I've seen a row of Cashman being played... there is always one or two machines getting the cashman bonuses and the rest of the players feeding and waiting...thats where I've been sitting ...with the never gets...It is definely a watch and wait for a good machine series....

I never really liked Cashman slots, they're always packed and I'd be the one who would barely get a bonus, and if I did get a bonus it was crappy.
Little Lucy is the same concept as Cashman but you have to bet 30 rather than 25 to get the random bonus feature. Whenever I've played these games I trigger the bonus quite often and have won decent amounts. I like the bonus features in this game better than the Cashman bonuses.

Deb - Hey now, hey now, don't knock Aristocrat for using 8,9,10,J,Q,K,A many IGT games use the same symbols, Bombay, Coyote Moon, Wolf Run, almost all of the stacked wild IGT games. It is an easy way for people to understand that 8 - 5 of a kind is less than king - 5 of a kind.
I understand that aristocrat's aren't fancy but the games are solid and Mr. Cashman is a fun. I encourage you to play a base game where a symbol on reels 2,3,or 4 makes the entire reel wild. These are in my opinion the best base games, the Easter island type one isn't very fun.

Deb I know you hate card symbols but slots that have all pictures are hard to read. I think the card symbols allow your brain to sort a winning line combo or not more easily.

The "playing card" slot symbols are very popular in Asian countries, and that's why it is replicated so much here. From a practical perspective, there is some value in knowing intuitively that 9's and 10's pay crappy, and pictures (face cards) pay the best. I'm seen lots of people get excited on IGT and WMS games when they get 5-of-a-kind --- thinking they really have something, and they end up with 80 to 100 credits.
Regarding "full reel WILDS" -- they are great when you are getting them ("Enchanted Unicord", "Adams Family", "Sneeki Tiki") -- but it all evens out in the end. Unicorn sucks the bankroll the same as all of them.

I love the cashman games--just because I've managed to do very well on them. (see pic for one of my jackpots!) The bonuses come often enough so that they keep you engaged.

I am a big fan of the Cashman but you will find that you have to scope the bank out. I find there are one or two machines that play very well on high bets and the reminder of the bank only pays small amounts. I tend to play short durations, with higher bets and if I hit I take the $$$ and run. I played a few weeks ago on the diamond theme and won $1500 on a $2.50 bet.

Mr. Cashman is probably may favorite slot of all time. I have taken more $700-$1000 tickets out of cashman than I can remember. I especially like the Easter Island Cashman. I had the same combo as pictured earlier in the thread except the ladies all the way across (center line). There was only one diamond and the 10x multiplier came out. I believe it paid a little over $1000.

I had some good experiences with Cashman in the Philippines at Hyatt Regency Hotel. They don't have TITO, but only tokens that can be exchanged for money called the Peso. They're certain machines that I swear are like ATM machines and I have emptied 'hopper empty' them more than a few times. I would put in a $500 dollar peso or $10 in usd. Play 25 lines x 2 for 50 peso or $1 a spin. After I hit a good size jackpot I cash it out and immediately put in 250 peso/$5 usd. If I hit on the 250 peso, I repeat the process until I lose my 250 peso. I don't increase my bet size during my play. I have won from $50 to $200 usd. I look for African Safari, Jail Bird and the one that has the dutch girl and owl. I plan to go back in March with my wife, so I hope the machines are still there. We also plan to visit Macau. I don't like the Cashman games in LV, they're not player friendly.

Hi Deb, I have a soft spot for Mr Cashman, it's one of the games my sister loves. Years ago they were so much fun with their bonuses. Lately they are pretty blah. I have done better on Lil Lucy as far as bonusing.
We've pretty much moved on from Mr Cashman, preferring Wolf Run to that. My sister discovered Monopoly JPS and now she pines for that.
On a side note, only 2-1/2 weeks til Red Rock, we can hardly wait!

most the time the wins are small. Now and then they pay out, just like any slot I guess. It does seem like in a bank only a couple out of it will be hitting back nice credit wins, I once turned 100 into 400 playing them, I try them once in a while, but usually the cashman bonuses are small and it gets boreing when he pops up pretty regular, but gives out much of nothing. Its a good game to try and increase your bankroll with small wins.

I dont play Cashman too often, but I did have two good experiences with the game. One was a $300 hit betting a $1.25, the other a $1200 hit betting $2.50. The W2G hit was on a Polar Bear themed machine of some sort. The Cashman bonus triggered randomly and the coin popped out and began adding up credits with his hands. I've achieved this bonus a billion times and thought if he counted up 50 bucks I'd be happy (normally it pays 10x your bet). Well Mr. Cashman counted to a hundo, then 500, then 1000! Stopped at $1200 on the nose so I could pay the government their cut.
There are several variants in the Cashman series, many of which I never play or just don't have luck on (the Panda theme and the African theme). I prefer the original Cashman games rather than Cashman Tonight.
I agree with whoever stated the the random blarring sound the machine makes when it triggers the bonus, it can be frightening. I have been startled many times as most Cashman machines do not allow for volume control!

Yeah, getting the bonus sound can wake up the Granny here... "Ta-Da, Ta-Da, Ta-Da". Mr. Wonderful and I play Mr. Cashman a lot at Seneca, and have won some nice wins. There is a Desert Bloom Cashman that I won over $200.00 on the bonus of a 25c bet (I usually bet $1.25 on these... aarrgh!), and during the bonus round, the flowers came up on the first 2 reels. It then interrupted the bonus, and had 3 spins, where if more flowers come up besides the first 2, then the bonus increases even more.. ended up with the $200.00 amount. I also saw a neighbor sitting at the Jail Bird Cashman win over $8350.00 on his bonus, playing a max bet. He just took it all in stride, like it was an every day event for him. Trust me, that isn't an every day event! :) I'm starting to branch out now to the new machines... because I've noticed Cashman just isn't paying like they used to.

I like Cashman especially if you get on a machine that's bonusing a lot. I play it every now and then. I never hit anything big, but I've seen many huge amounts.

HI Joey,
Interesting comments of the card playing symbols. They are the definition of what is an Australian style game. It is just a different way of a heirachical symbol setup. Just like stepper slots use bar, 2 bar, 3 bar. the cards recall is that an Ace beats king beat queen beat jack etc. So when playing the slots Ace always pay more than 9,10 J etc, the lower symbol will always have a lower paying prize table. As there is normally 10-14 symbols in a standard video slot, what the royals (card symbols do) is let the player focus on the bigger wins which are the dedicated themed picture symbols. I get frustrated playing a new WMS machine because you got to work out with all picture symbols which are the high paying ones and which pay low. Takes time royals make it easy becasue they never change. The aristocrat style has been copied by IGT, Konami, Aruze slot manufacturers. Bally and WMS have stayed with traditional fruit and bars from the stepper style.

Peter

The Cashman games are a hit or miss in my opinion. I've won 300 + on a 30 cent bet, and also won 150 on a 60 cent bet. But when I bet higher, I can't win ANYTHING on them.

I forget the name of the game but it's pretty much the exact same format, paytable, and style as Enchanted Forest (the one with the green dragons and the black eyes on reels 2,3,4 that make the entire reel wild.
btw, I hate hate hate it when you spin for 10 minutes, finally get a Cashman, and his stupid smiling face comes out and waves his hands at your credits and you end up with $1.50. It's like an insult :P

The older Cashman games have always been good to us, for me the posted picture one with the diamonds is luckiest. Do not care for the new version though.

I was wondering if anyone knew of the cashman games online - either to play online for real or just to download and have some fun with.
I have found a few good sites, but nothing like a real slot experience.
any help would be appreciated.

Nope, These games are still in the Aristocrat Vault. There is a clone (simular) game made by Microgaming (http://www.microgaming.com). You can play it online a various websites (for free if you wish). The game goes under the name "golden goose". Give it a try. You will notice the game is almost the same.
