Hi Folks:
Since the bitter divorce between AC Coin and IGT, AC Coin seems to be struggling to stay relavent on the casino floor. At least one of my locals pulled the remaining half-dozen or so machines ... presumably over so-so results on the gaming floor.
From all accounts, there are plenty of AC Coin games which appeal to certain players.
I'd suggest they need to update their base games -- perhaps get away from the "safe" Double-Diamond math ... and perhaps get away from the hyper-frequent extremely low paying bonus rounds (although they risk alienating some players).

Good observation Shamus. I met with my AC Coin rep this week and they are getting ready to launch a new platform, most likely at G2E. He's been sworn to secrecy and his bosses will probably be happy to hear my interrogation techniques failed to produce any tangible results although I stopped short of water-boarding.
My assumptions are that they've realized they're at the end of the line with IGT S2000 mechanical-reel products. I am working on a theory that they'll either have their own video platform or will have partnered with another company's video platform. I also make the assumption that they'll continue with top-box bonuses.
GG, here's a link to their site with their games:

GG: AC Coin is best known for their SLINGO slot series- you probably tried it and did not even know they made it!

Hi GG:
If memory serves me correctly, AC Coin stands for Atlantic City coin. They used to be the exclusive distributors for Atlantic City casinos. They partnered with IGT ... selling IGT's products in Atlantic City, and having IGT distribute their products outside of Atlantic City. They also did a lot of signage and toppers.
I used to enjoy playing SLOTTO and BEWITCHED. Good games.
They make a lot of community style games now.
I'm not surprised you are not that familiar to you -- as you enjoy high volatility machines. AC COIN is well known for very high freqeuncy, very low paying bonus rounds. I still think SLINGO is a good game.
