Harrahs New Orleans sent me a promotion that is so clever that I am going to compliment the person who designed it.

I know some of you don't like Harrahs, but this is a really clever idea.

They sent me a "passport" -- it is a booklet made to look like a real passport, with a space for a photo in the id section in the front. Each page has a different casino. When I visit one of the casinos I can have their page stamped, and I will get free slot play based on how many of the casinos I visit by the end of the summer. (8 stamps gets $600 in free slot play.) I will also collect $100 refund at each casino when I show them my airfare receipt. (Probably there are players at a higher level than I who get much bigger refunds and slot play, but I'll take the $100 and whatever free play I can get.)

I can tell I am on a list of customers who travel out of their own area to play at Harrahs. And New Orleans is my favorite casino destination. (And it was even before I won the 7k Star Trek jackpot!)

Anyway, if you are familiar with the following casinos, would you tell me the best airport to use, and any information you have on how much a shuttle or taxi costs would be much appreciated:

BILOXI

BOSSIER CITY

TUNICA

COUNCIL BLUFFS

CHEROKEE

The other casinos are St Louis, Kansas City, and New Orleans. I know how to get to those. I will be at Kansas City over the 4th of July.

That is a clever idea...I'm surprised no one else had thought of it before!

OMG you have to post this on the other forum!!! They will get a kick out of it and there is a Biloxi expert on there and a Tunica expert! That idea is definitely ingenious and I am NOT one of Harrah's fans, as you well know!

Deb, I will post it now.

I get jealous when I see ideas that are so clever that I wish I had thought of them, and this one makes me uber jealous, lol. I was showing the "passport" to a friend of mine last night. He is always traveling -- last summer he and a friend made a visit to several of the "stans" -- (not Afganistan or Pakistan, but there are many others on the map in that area). At one point he left the checkpoint for one country and walked a few hundred yards across desert to the border of the next country, only to find the checkpoint was closed. ("This country is currently closed,") and could not go back to the one he just left because his visa had been stamped as "exited." He had to wait a couple of hours for the checkpoint to open. ANYWAY, we were giggling up a storm thinking what if you got this Harrahs passport out of your pocket thinking it was the US Passport...lol And what if the agent stamped it, hahahaha
