My husband and sister went to Hollywood, Grantville last Friday. They walked in and saw a woman had just gotten 9 Quick Hits-Whoo hoo, right?
She was only betting .60!!! She was all excited because she was getting $1500, I would have vomited!!! The progressive jackpot was well over $11000!!!! My husband called me to share it with me! He told my sister, that I would have been sick! Oh yes, that's why I do not play progressives, unless I have the bankroll to max bet! I couldn't live with myself! On a lighter note, I'm glad it made her happy!;)

Don't get me wrong, $1500 from 60 cents is a very nice return, but I feel that $11000 from $2 is better! That's just me, to each his own!

Those are the kind of things that I know I would NEVER get over. My friend was NOT max betting and got all of the progressive symbols on the CORRECT payline to win $500k and instead he won a little over $600 (Monopoly Jackpot Station). When he told me about that the first thing I said was OMG I would never ever get over that. I would dwell on not max betting FOREVER! So now when I play a penny progressive I play max or I don't play at all :(

Hi angi465,

Quick Hits - I play that game in some form at every casino I visit. I've sat near so many people who haven't a clue about the need to play max at this machine! They look so confused when they get the Quick Hits and the progressive bells and lights don't go off. I always explain it to them and point out the max bet info on the machine. Still, a lot of people continue to play the same way -and win the little amounts. It just drives me nuts. Max is the only way to go on this game.

May sound funny, but I'm afraid NOT to max bet! Even when I get down to the end of my funds, I'll cash out rather than decrease my bet. Go stick that $1.50 in a Palace of Riches II and get 5 spins out of it! Then it's time to go home!
