Has anyone played Macaw Magic? Its one of my moms favorate games. We have it here in Alberta as a 5c9L max 90c.
Its a unique game because of its "nudge" feature in the bonus. To trigger the bonus you need to get 5 parrotts scattered. You get 12 spins. Every spin where the parrott shows on reels 1, 2, 3, you get credits. Then the machine nudges those symbols to give you a tripled (or higher) pay. The more you get the more credits you win. Best of all if you get all 5 parrotts, the bonus retriggers and you get a HUGE credit pay for all 5 parrotts (100x).
Big hand pays have been made on this machine.

I've played this in Vegas and really liked it. I just saw it the other day at a local casino and played it again. When I tried to cash out, the ticket didn't print and I had to call the attendant. I literally waited 45 minutes. Totally irritated.
I do like this game though and it can pay pretty well.

this is a common problem on aristocrat machines. you probably cashed out right after a bonus. (cancelled credit). Always spin once otherwise the machine will do this again.

I found this game for the first time this past weekend, along with "Where's the Gold", which were side by side. Loved both of these!! "Mr. Wonderful" played Macaw's Magic, only betting .20/spin, and he got his ticket up to $120!! I played it at .60/spin and did fairly well too. Fun game, but the bonuses were hard to get.

I've had good luck with this machine. When the bonus is hitting, it's great. But it's streaky--if bonuses are not hitting (and you have to get five macaws to trigger the bonus), your money will rapidly disappear.

Hi CDN$=5C:
I don't mind this game, but I would like it at a lower denomination. I do find the game to be a bit of a "one trick pony" -- basically, you are chasing for the 5 Macaws each spin. You ether get them, or you don't. I would like it better with other payout possibilities, or possibly a secondary bonus round. The play experience is not overly exciting.

This game is on my do not play list, after hearing about the "potential" the bonus round had, I had to try it. Well after a good amount of my bankroll betting 250credits on a 2c machine, I hit the bonus, figuring I would win atleast $250, bonus ended at like $35. Don't think I will be trying this again.

Hi Flushed:
I think you touch on my main criticism here -- if you don't score the 5 Macaws, it's tough to get a healthy pay.

I will give it one more try though before I totally put it off, I actually forgot how the bonus worked, so I am intrigued again.

Try the one at the Bay. I've had some luck on that one. (Upstairs, left wall toward the poker room. There are also some new Spinning Streaks nearby (Monkees and something else).
