Hey,

Has anyone actually seen this game? I read about it on WMS last press release. I have seen some video footage of G2E but could not see this game. Was it not at G2E?

Pictures would help. Does anyone know when we will actually see this game? Is it a replacement for Star Trek?

I was able to play and watch the game for around 15 minutes.

No pictures or video of the game was allowed. The game was acutally in WMS' backroom and hidden from the camera's eye.

The game will start shipping in 6 to 8 months as both a standalone machine and a machine upgrade for immersive cabinets.

The new game developed by WMS is now being showcased at the Canadian Gaming Summit in Calgary at the BMO centre. Gaming professionals from across canada had the chance to see the new game in action. WMS had the game setup from everyone to see the new game. Some people even had a chance to play it. The game is now being produced and should be in casinos across north-america in the next few months.

thought you might all like that news. I just got a text from a friend who was at the summit. He said it is nothing like you have ever seen before, They are DEFINITLEY ordering this game for Alberta. But he says we more than likely wont see it until late this year due to the huge amount of orders currently being placed.

I am the last person to be excited about this game:eek: sorry BUT I know many people here will go crazy for it!!! Sounds like a great idea. I loved reading the books growing up and the movies were great. When they start shipping, I'll get real excited.

Judging from the first screen sanpshot, looks like you better bring a big bankroll to the game.

Deb, you sound like me. Could really care less about this game. It ranks right up there with Jaws and Star Wars or Star Trek. I was never a fan, but I know there are tons who are. Hope you all have fun when it comes out.

Does that necessarily matter? I ask because there are plenty of machines I enjoy where I have no interest in the movie/TV show they were based on. I think Star Trek is a great slot, but I've never watched the show. Never even seen the Star Wars movies, but I liked the games that don't seem to be around anymore (the 30-line ones, not the community-bonus one). And I hate Sex and the City the show, but love the game.

I'm not interested in LOTR as books/movies, either, but I bet I'll like the game.
