Last week I started to play the $5 and $9 Zeus machine, and I got my first ever hand payout within two days of each other on a Zeus machine. The $5 machine was off one spin for $1300 and the other payout was on 10 free spins which was for $1963 this was at Hard Rock Casino in Tampa. The day I hit the $1300 on my last $100 on the $5 machine I was actually up $2,800 from the $9 machines, but then I just blew it back to the casino. Do you guys ever blow back a large amount of your winnings to the casino? The good thing is I did not lose my money. What is the most you guys have played and losed in a casino in one day?

The casino ususally does not get it all back, I will tuck away a big portion of that then leave some play money. I can't see me ever giving back 2,000! to hard to win something in that range, most I would probably play back is 300 to 400 hundred If I wanted to stay a while. Smaller wins are easy to play back before you know it. I tend to keep my eye on my money when its a lot:)

does that mean you were betting $5 and $9 on one spin on zeus?

If I lost $1200 in one day, I honestly don't think I would make it back home.

Before I started keeping track of my money, There was one time in a 3hr period of time, I lost my entire bankroll of $500! Soon as I realized this, I hurriedly went to the restroom and...... Well, lets just say I didn't feel too well:( As I cleaned myself up inside the stall and gathered my composure I found a TITO for $24 and change. Put it in a 9line 2c triple double diamond progressive, played 9l x10 and ended up hitting Triple-Triple-Double Diagonally with a red seven and a Triple Bar which ended up giving me a little over $500.

I had to force myself to walk and not run to the TITO machine and to my car!!!!

I never EVER want to feel that upset in a casino ever again!

Yes, both machines were a $1, but to cover all the lines one machine required $5 and the other was $9, and this was the minimum bet. I just started hitting big lately, and never had the guts I did this week. I am still kicking myself for what I did. Monday went to the casino with bankroll of $1600 lost all of it. Then Tuesday I went back winning roughly $3,000 on jackpots ranging from $400 -$1,300. Went home with $1000 and went back again lost all $1000. I am not done go back Friday morning only with a hundred of a bankroll then I hit a jackpot for $1,963 and LOST IT ALL IN HIGH LIMITS AREA. You think I would learn? I thought I could hit big in the high limit area, but I just kept stuffing $100 bills into the machine, and the further down I got I just said what the heck I might as well take the risk of losing everything. I thought I could hit big and it would be a great investment. I should realize it is only for entertainment, but who hates losing?

My biggest loss so far is $125 so by comparison it's not so bad I guess. It was all the yankee money I had with me that day and it took me less than an hour to do it! I couldn't believe it happened so fast. But that's more than enough $$ to lose in one shot.

We all hate losing. We just have to remember that we are probably not going to get rich on this entertainment. I only take what I can afford to lose. I realize that it is the price to play for my entertainment. IF I do win, that is a nice bonus.

If I want to lose, I've found that playing Zeus II just about guarantees it.

I think alot of the true slot players will have this happen on more than one occassion. I know what you mean. Many times I have lost my bankroll and on the last $ 50 I'll win it all back just to lose it once again. I have yet to learn the lesson. Leave the casino as soon as you win !! The most I have lost is about $ 1300.00. The most I have won is $ 1700.00 on a wizard of oz 5 cents. My mother on 2009 won $ 22,000.00 on 3 handpays. We will see how this year pans out. Good luck to all slot players.

Do you drink when gambling? Sorry for asking directly but yes, it can be one of the issues -- not being aware of what one is doing.

Basically, its one or the other -- chasing one's losses, OR, thinking the next big win is just around the corner. Neither is a good thing.

I - ALWAYS - w/o exception have walked away if my total exceeds 1K. having said that, there's never been a time when I gambled > 1K in a session/day.

Its important to practice good bankroll management or you end up being a "compulsive gambler"

It makes me feel a little better that it just doesn't happen to me. Next time I hit big on a hand payout I am just going to leave and come back a different day. So I don't regret any bad decisions I make.

No I don't drink at all. I am a graduate student, and a former all-american athlete. I guess I live and learn from experiences. I had a large bankroll I could afford to lose so I said just do it! My friend usually doesn't bet the max well he did with his last $20 and hit $4,899 on a bonus on a two cent power up game. It is a risk anyone takes, and I guess I was willing to take the risk. I was just wondering if there were other people who made such poor decisions as I did.

And going home, away from the temptations, gives you time to think of all the OTHER things you can do with that money, besides "spend it" at the casino!

Now, that said, I am not so good at practicing what I preach...the most I've lost is 500 in an hour. My whole bankroll. Not any fun at all! I was yad.

This last year, either my luck has tanked, or those slots have been bent over the rack and tightened til they scream...

Er, anyway. Don't let all that excitement carry you away! I've started limiting myself to a set number of trips. That way, I can't run back the next day and chase losses on a losing machine.

I also like to get up, look in the gift shop, eat at the cafe', play some Keno, take a walk to the Rezmart...then decide what I really want to do.

Hope some of these ideas help!

We went to Mohegan Sun a few weeks ago and were up to $1100! We left with $600 of it and couldn't bring ourselves to drive past Hollywood on the way back. Left Hollywood with $100! Not to mention, I won $300 on Treasures of Troy at Hollywood-a recoup you say? NOT, we played it back too! Had to force ourselves to leave with that $100! Oh yeah, ZeusPlayer, been dere done dat!

This is a great thread! I'm always kicking myself for not learning. Hubby and I just look at each other and figure what the heck we only had x amount of dollars and we didn't expect to take it home, let's just have some fun. Yeah, what we're REALLY thinking is maybe I'll get a bigger hit!!! More, more, more.....

Biggest single day loss at the local casino was $400 for the day- was not happy. In Vegas, I would say it was around $600- wass under budget for the day so was fine with it.

Now before I go to the casino I use a jedi mind trick- I decide exactly what I would be comfortable losing for the day and then I assume that I am in fact going to lose it- kinda helps soften the blow. Kinda.

Hi ZeusPlayer:

The original Zeus, and mathematically equal "Palace of Riches" and "Samarai Master" have, in my opinion, perfectly balance gameplay with volatility. The pacing of the BONUS ROUNDS is nice ... it goes on some real winning streaks, and some real losing streaks. I love the 30-line 2-cent denom the best ... and I'll even up the bet to 2-lines once in a while just to try and literally, "strike lightning". The stacked WILDS and the premium symbols in the BONUS round keep things exciting. The 100 free spins is tough to get ... but a lot of fun if you can even hunt it down!

Hi I am new but a long time slots player. I started with penny's, went to dollars, and got to where I was regularly playing high limit. My biggest win though was $10,000 on a $1 10x pay machine (10x, 10x, Red 7). I found whatever level you play at, it is extremely easy to put it all back and then some. I had $123,000 in W-2's for 2009, over 40 of them (yeah that made taxes fun) but I bet I have put most of it back here and there. My advice if you like to play: stick with pennies, you lose less when you lose, which you probably will. The $1000-$4000 wins on high limit ($5, $10 machines) are nice, but when you lose $3000+ in a few hours, which regularly happened to me, you can barely live with yourself. The ratios of payout are the same on physical reel games, no matter the denomination you play, and on pennies you are playing a game that mostly pays you back less than you bet. I will still play for fun here and there because I still enjoy some of the games, but never more than $20 now because I finally "got it" - the house always wins in the end.

Well I myself have been playing slot machines for around a year and a half now and the biggest win I ever had was 300$ on a 5 times pay 1$ machine. I hit it with my last 3$ dollars too which was nice. Then I decided to put in a 20$ in a blackotie and hit 50$ on my first spin. Put it a 20 in a rebwhiteblue, hit an 80$, cashed them all out and left. And that was the only time I left with any money from a casino :p If I get small wins I just end up loosing them, but hey its entertainment! I think its worth it as long as you can afford to lose
