I'm a noobie to slot machines, but after making a couple trips to the casino I thought of something that may help me on the super jackpot party games... let me know if this makes any sense:

To get the bonus mode you need three scattered party symbols in columns 1,3,5. Once you get in the bonus mode, there's no more spinning involved and you just pick prizes which contain a value based on your line bet. Therefore, to have the best "profit margin" on the bonus game, wouldn't it make sense to bet 1 line with 10 credits? Since you can win on scattered the 1 line won't decrease your chances, and since the prizes are based on the line bet, you'll get higher prizes.

I can't think of any other games where something like this would work... am I out of my mind or should I try this strategy next time I play?

I don't understand your posts. I play a Super Jackpot Party Machine @ Hard Rock Tampa, Fl. The machine I play is .02 cents, I play all the lines which is 20. Then I bet 1, 2, 3, or 5 etc. I like betting 3 per line. I usually win pretty good on a good day.. You may change the denom to .05 or .10 cents. Anyway one time I won $181.00 with a .02 denom and betting 3 per line. I almost cleared the board which I've never gotten that close before while playing. Well Good Luch and enjoy the game...

Hello & Welcome "ComputerD": Yes, I know where you are coming from. That is why I prefer scatter bonuses as compared to bonuses where one must be on the payline. It allows more flexibility. So I would max 3 lines out of 9 or 15 lines if the bonus increased as in Jackpot Party. The only problem is you better hit the bonus and often...& if you are lucky, a good win on the few lines you max on the board. The key is: If it works for you, go for it! Cheers, Felix

Cool, cool. Glad to hear you know where I'm coming from on that one. I'll give it a try next time I'm at the casino, and hopefully I will have some luck with it!!

I may be wrong here, but, I thought the prize amounts in the presents were based off of total bet wagered? Not line bet. If you notice while picking presents, the prize amounts are "multiples" of amount wagered. Ex. Total bet = 20 cent..... you see prizes like 20,40,60,80,100 and so on. Ex. Total bet 18 cent (9 lines x 2) you see prizes like 18,36,54 and so on.

It sounds like what you're suggesting is, for lack of better word, a "loophole" on how to win more money. I can guarantee (with as long as Jackpot Party has been around) that WMS does not have any loopholes in its programming of JPP.

Ahh, I didn't realize that prizes were based on total bet and not line bet for JPP. Seems like most bonus games are based on line bet, but for this game total bet would make more sense (from a programming standpoint). I had a feeling what I was thinking was too good to be true. Thanks for letting me know!!!

That's why they call him " http://www.slotmachinesforum.com/image.php?u=18977&dateline=1280150875 (http://www.slotmachinesforum.com/member.php?18977-JPParty-man) JPParty-man (http://www.slotmachinesforum.com/member.php?18977-JPParty-man)".

Indeed ... from a math perspective, playing 1 line x 10 credits, is the same as playing 10 lines x 1 credit. However, if you happen to get really lucky and land something good on payline 1 ... with a 10x credit, you look like a genius.
