Any thoughts on the best places to play in Tunica?

I know this is an old post, but I get the best play at Gold Strike, Fitzgeralds, Horseshoe and Bally's. I've been going several years now, and have had a lot of good play at these four, especially Horseshoe.

Bama--the last few times I have been there I have not done well at Ballys. I "used" to........and it "used" to be my favorite place to play. I do agree with Horseshoe being hot most of the time.
I will be going back in October....and will fight the good fight again! ;) (I'll give Bally's another try!) :p
Do you play pennies?

Hi SSherman,
It's the total opposite for me. It used to be that I couldn't seem to ever hit a thing at Bally's, and now I at least get some good play for my money. No big jackpots there yet, but several decent smaller wins at times.
Yes, I mostly play pennies now. Dean Martin Wild Party, Black Knight, and Stinkin' Rich are some I enjoy playing the most.
I'm planning on being there the 3rd and 4th of October myself. Probably will do most of my playing this time at Gold Strike, as that's been the best one for me recently.

Good Luck! Go Go Go Go on Dean! I can hear him singing now......"How Lucky Can One Guy Be?".........

I was playing the Dean Martin machine a while back, and not hitting anything at all on it. Some guy came and sat down at another Dean Martin machine that was two spots away from where I was. He started hitting right off, and that song about "How lucky can one guy be" kept on playing on his machine. I thought to myself, I don't know how lucky one guy can be, but he darn sure must be luckier than me! LOL

Harrah's is the biggest and has the best food. Horseshoe is usually the busiest. Gold Strike technically looks the nicest. But for having the machines I like and being a little less crowded, I generally stick with Resorts.

All of our best wins have come from Gold Strike, Sheraton ,witch is now changing its name, and Hollywood.

I can tell you this much - you won't find good games at Sams Town. As of late, the slots there are tighter than just about anywhere else. My advice: avoid that casino if you want to win anything.

Yikes, I truly believe it has something to do with the bad Economy we played for only 3 hours at the Horseshoe and it was terrible and the whole time did not see one person hit on any of the slot machines. Agree to stay away

I have been in tunica the past 3 days and no one seems to be winning at any of the casinos I visited. I certainly didn't and multiple comments from random strangers about their losses seem to confirm how tight the machines are down here in MS.

I had a bad feeling and left as I actually just walked around to observe and saw NO one hit anything for almost 3 hours .. Thanks for your update! I would not even know where to go back if we even do!!

Sounds like my experiences lately. As noted in my earlier posts on this thread, I used to be able to win some here and there. Recently though it seems impossible. My last several trips have been brutal. Thinking about trying Hollywood or Fitz for a change of pace.

My husband and I cancelled our winstar trip this past weekend to go to Tunica instead because we'd never been there before either and figured we could visit Winstar at a later date since it was closer. We visited Resorts, Hollywood, and Samstown. We were commenting too on how we didn't notice anyone winning anything. I know we didn't lol. They did have a drawing at Hollywood for a fuji camera or 100 in fp and it was every 5 mins from 4pm-10pm. Quite a few people got that. I was hoping they would come my way but they didn't lol.

The last time we went was about 2 years ago and I did good at the Horseshoe but these times now and currently have been beyond bad there. It's going to take a lot of improvement and feedback to get me back at the Horseshoe so maybe Hollywood which is further out or Fritz needs a trip in the future.

I dislike Horseshoe, always have .... Never use to like Roadhouse but had a great time there two Weeks ago. Harrahs is a little behind lately on the new(er) machines but still more play time then that dern Horseshoe.
Also as usual found Hollywood the loosest but as the majority of my play/br stays with CET properties.

Went the horseshoe/gold strike this past weekend and both were still bad :( Now fitz's is claiming to have loosened their slots? LOL Went to Harris at the end of last year and it was not good. I did ok at Hollywood over the last summer but nothing to write home about. Ugh.. saw a lot of aggravated people at the horseshoe.

I went last month to Harrah's and I couldn't not believe how tight it seemed but the place is huge so I figured it would be harder for me to find a machine I might win on. I didn't get much play time either. I left there and went and tried the Horseshoe which was alittle better as far as machine choices. Goldstrike was probably the nicest to me though. I'm going back at the end of next month to stay at the Road House so I will give them all another shot except for Harrah's.

Tunica was not a very good experience for my son and myself over a 6 mo. stay in Nashville. We were very disappointed with all the casinos there, and just vowed to never return. Of course, we were in that neck of the woods for only an extended work stay anyways. I've played in casinos scattered across this nation, and the Tunica casinos were not what I would consider anything but rip-offs. And I'm the kind of player that gets comped all the time. Even the table games seemed "rigged", and we played many times over our 6-mo. period with many visits to Gold Strike and Horseshoe on comped rooms. We know the difference.....and there was one. That's all I can say. They need to change things in Tunica, imo.

My rule of thumb is if I'm getting killed on the slots in Tunica (which is often), I head to the 9/6 JoB VP at the Roadhouse. Best video poker in Mississippi.
