Default Favorite Casino/Hotel in Las Vegas

Ok, we are planning to stay on the strip in Las Vegas in January. I am contemplating which hotel to stay at and what hotels to gamble at. I have heard good things about quite a few hotels. Has anyone stayed in the Hard Rock? I have a friend that lives near the Hard Rock in Hollywood Florida and he says it is great there.

I've stayed at Treasure Island, The Bellagio, and Wynn, and I'd recommend any of them. The Aladdin seemed to have pretty loose slots last time I was there, and Harrah's is a nice "small" hotel-casino with a down-home feel to the service.

Bottom-line: If I had the bucks, I'd always stay at Wynn.

Do yourself a favor and play at the MGM Grand. There Majestic Lions Dollar slots are as close to a "sure thing" I have EVER encountered as a slot player. Harrahs Blazing 7's are great as well. They are all located in the same area of the casino, so you cant miss them. I recently found that most of the casinos on the strip have their own "branded machines" such as Majestic Lions at the MGM (which play and payout EXACTLY like Blazing 7's just with different symbols. Ceasars has "Roman Riches", Aladdin has "Planet Hollywood" (only a few of them, though) Wynn has "Wynn 7's" and so on. I have done well on all of these with the exception of the Monte Carlos version, which I cant even remember the name of the machines because they were so horrible. I did see others playing them and winning , though. I had horrible luck at the Monte Carlo.
MGM and Harrahs are by far my favorite casinos on the strip. Good Luck.

Talking Hotels

I think it's really cool that you guys all seem to like Harrah's; I always end up staying there because of the comps they offer from the Total Rewards and the rooms and meals are free. I wish the rooms were a bit nicer but I have to admit that I really like their slot selection and the organization of most of the slot areas. I like the rooms at Paris and enjoy gambling there ( Village Buffet is very tasty.) I'd love to see the rooms at the Wynn and Bellagio sometime as I like gambling at the Bellagio because the service is usually pretty good and again, yummy buffet! I just got invited to a Birthday celebration in Vegas in August and will be staying at Harrah's again; This time I'd like to check out the gym and spa as I heard they were very accommodating and maybe it will slow me down a bit....lol yeah, right

A birthday party in Vegas? Boy, that sounds like trouble!

Just remember, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
