I was browsing through the latest issue of Strictly Slots magazine when I realized they record and publish information about the actual payout percentages of the slots in various casinos. I've gone through and made a list of the places that had the best payouts last month based on denomination below, in case anyone wants to play in Atlantic City anytime soon:

Nickel Slots Payouts -Harrahs, 91.2%

Quarter Slot Payouts - Trump Plaza 92.6%

Fifty Cent Slot Machine Payouts - Trump Plaza 93.6%

Dollar Slot Payouts - Trump Marina 93.3%

Five Dollar Slot Payouts - Trump Plaza 97.3%

Twenty Five Dollar Slot Payouts - Showboat 105.4%

Hundred Dollar Slot Payouts - Showboat 119.5%

I notice two things while looking at this list. The higher the denomination, the higher the payback percentage. And, Trump Plaza seems to have pretty loose slots.

Hi Slotty! Thanks for posting. I just got back home from a weekend at AC today and made it to Trump Plaza before heading to the Borgata where I stayed. Won a $100 at tables but didn't have the chance to play the slots that night there. But, I've hit 2 jackpots there in the past year (an awesome $3,600 on a quarter Ten Times, Ten Times, Green 7 machine being one of them). I'll be sure to play there more often in the next trip..for those playing there...make sure to get your Trump Card as you get FREE Parking!

The Borgata has the loosest slots in AC! No doubt! The B spot rocks!

The actual reported payout percentages vary considerably from month to month. The slot machines are programmed to payout their specified percentages over a long period of time (say 1,000,000 spins). Before you run to AC with your paycheck in the hopes of striking it rich, be aware that Atlantic City, NJ actually has the LOWEST average payback percentages (91.6%) of any State in the US. Downtown Las Vegas is the best with 95.7% at last count. Individual Casinos within Atlantic City vary in their average payback percentages by on a couple tenths of a percentage. It is true that the higher denomination machines payout better than the lower ones. Let's hope that stiffer competition will coerce some of the Casinos to give back better payouts. The current trend seems to be build a bigger, glitzier casino (Borgata) and maybe patrons won't notice they are being robbed.

Couldn't agree with you more. Used to be a subscriber to Casino Players magazine and, when examined carefully, their statistics showed that Atlantic City NJ slots had always the lowest payouts of all the states with casinos.
