Kansas to get New Casino
As reported by the Kansas City Star: "The Woodlands' long-range plan calls for a $40 million to $50 million permanent casino and restaurant to be built next to the track's twin clubhouse for horse racing.
"If The Woodlands gets a green light from the state, track officials will open a temporary casino on the ground floor of the dog track clubhouse.
"Jayme LaRocca, Woodlands general manager, said Thursday that remodeling was expected to be under way by Aug. 1 and that as many as 800 slot machines could open to the public in February.
