I was playing 9-lines with a nickel bet ... and hit $940 --- almost 20000 nickels for a 45-cent total bet. I had princess/lion on reel one, then a unicorn on reels 2,3,4 and a princess/lion on reel 5. You can hit a decent amount if you can string a few unicorns together!

Is the Red, White and Blue game the video reel version?

Hi Shamus, great that you have had such luck with Enchanted Unicorn! I'll definately have to try ropin some unicorns, heck throw in a princess too

Ring Quest is one of the better themed low denomination slots in my opinion, and the particular machine I play is right along the cocktail waitress path, so even tho I haven't won a heap on it yet, it works out well enough entertainment-wise.

Red, White, and Blue was a few years ago...I seem to recall that it had real reels, but a video matrix for the bonus.

Default Ring Quest

I do like Ring Quest ... however, in my local casino ... the game was only "hot" for about 4 months. It was the same for "Sherwood Forest". However, Super Jackpot Party was a pretty good success. There is something "fishy" about "Cool Cat Cash" -- it was a pretty good game, and it disappeared at all casinos I visited. It was replaced by a game called, "Ah! Carumba". Maybe this was just in my jurisdiction (Canada) -- but I would be interested to hear if "Cool Cat Cash" is still out there.

My other complaint about "Ring Quest" ... is that I do not usually win big on it. It seems to pay small to medium sized amounts ... even in the bonus round. Have you been able to get 5 premium symbols (jackpot) or even 4 premium symbols?

Default WMS Goldfish Game is a HOT title

Hey Folks:

Just got back from Fallsview Casino yesterday ... and one game has a huge buzz from fans. It is WMS Gaming's "Goldfish". This is a 20 line game, with a 10-coin buy-in for an additional set of bonus rounds (think of Aristocrat's Cashman).

Goldfish features the colorful graphics and animation we expect from WMS games. It has a top and bottom display. The denomination I played was 2-cents. Although males and females played the game, the game is likely meant to appeal to female players (cute fish -- who swim around in the aquarium until they are called apon in the fish bowl).

The 10-coin buyin results in a bonus round which triggers randomly following a regular spin. The frequency is good --- and there are 5 different bonus rounds you could.

This game is one of the most popular in Seneca (Buffalo, NY) and Fallsview over the past few months. It is almost always occupied.

Overall, this is very fun. I emphasize the fun -- because I didn't win many jackpots on this game. The regular bonus round does not cost extra -- and it plays similar to "Jackpot Party" -- only you get 3 chances not to pick a turtle ... and each BONUS round gives you a chance to pick a turtle to reveal 2x, 3x or 10x your total bet.

Default American Original - Bally Gaming

Okay ... I'd like to apologize for my lack of enthusiasm for their often lack-lustre games.

Out of boredom, I thought I would try a Bally Game called, "American Original". Within a few minutes, I had my first bonus round. It was 50 free spins with a 2x multiplyer. Won about $140 with a 25-line nickel bet. Gave it a few more spins ... and won another $100 again.

Figuring it was all done ... I changed machines ... but my friend thought they would give it a try ... bonus round (100 free spins), bonus round (100 free spins), a few spins later, 4000 credits, bonus round (15 spins) ... etc etc ... about 20 bonus rounds in --- this machine was still paying. Finally, we cashed out ... and thought, maybe we should run another $20 through it. It returned another 100 spins and $80 more dollars. Finally ... the first $20 that did not pay. And we were done.

We joked that a game like "American Original" was paying well because it was Memorial Day ... whatever it was ... it was an uncanny streak of winning.

Yes ... it was fun. However, I can't say I will play Bally games any more frequently because of it.

Default Wrap Around Pays - WMS Gaming

WMS Gaming had a big hit with "Cascading Reels" and titles like, "Kaboom" and "All That Glitters". It's that sprit of innovation that has ushered in a new concept of video slot called, "Wrap Around Pays". Basically, each 20 credit bet buys 20-lines on a starting reel. The next 20 credits buys 20 lines on the second reel, etc. These games are best played with low denominations, because they are credit intensive. If you are looking at lines that start on the 3rd reel, reel 1 become the 4th reel amd reel 2 becomes the 5th reel.

The effect is an "explosion" of payout when matching symbols blanket the reels. It's fun ... as always, more fun when you are winning.

So far ... the concept was popular with many. Traditional video slot players looked a little confused --- and others may not like the inflexability of buying the reels in chunks (you can buy 20/40/60/80/100 --- but not say, 55).

I think it is great to throw a little innovation out there. I would suggest you check it out on a 1-cent or 2-cent denom.

I love the penny machines, and super jackpot party is my favorite! I have played that machine for almost 5 hours straight. Ok, I was only betting a penny (one line) at a time, but I love it!

I am a cheater, I like to hang around the casinos when they are having drawings, and betting a penny at a time, I can do that. Plus when its ladies night, and I get free play, that will not only give me time to hang out, its not a penny of my own money.

I like playing the penny denomination of WMS Gamings, "All The Glitters" and "Kaboom". You can affordably play all 20 lines, and maybe a few coins per line. With a little luck, you can pick up $100 here and there ... and a $20 will last 30 to 60 minutes on an average play.

I don't know about playing a "single penny" -- because winning $1.00 or $2.00sounds like a waste of time. Yes ... I like to play for a while ... but there needs to be the exciting of having some decent up-side potential.

right on, cheap entertainment...I'm a frugal gambler too, however I don't exclusively bet a penny at a time...I only do that to gauge losses between wins, then bump up my bets as I feel it is headed out of

anyway, even if I lose it all works out to be cheap entertainment...just hangin out and talkin with people, and gettin free drinks

whoa! that was scary...my drink was sitting on a plate since I misplaced my coasters when I moved. anyway, just an empty glass with icecubes sitting there, and apparently it supercooled the plate, causing it to suddenly crack in half just sitting there *SNAP* bizarre!

cya,

I fell in love with a "Cascading Reels" game by WMS Gaming last week, called, "Crystal Forest". Of course, it didn't hurt that the first time I played this machines (2-cent denomination), I made in excess of $200 on a 40-cent total bet.

It would be fine if "Cascading Reels" was the only "hook" on this machine, but there is additional innovation that takes this game to the next level. There is a "Crystal Bonus" --- if you can string together 4 "chain reactions" (or more) on a single play, you can earn extra free spins (if you get 5 chain reactions, you get an escalating number of spins).

While IGT is busy pushing their "Cascading Reels" rip-off "Davinci Diamonds", WMS Gaming has once again taken things to a new level. If you get a chance, check this game out (it is often found around another "Cascading Reels" game, "Shop Til You Drop".
