Seneca Casino Review - Niagara Falls NY
The Seneca Casino is a few years old now, but it has a beautiful design and a substantial sized hotel -- lit up with brilliant colours in the evenings, and clearly visable from the actual Falls.
Seneca Casino features over 4200 slot machines. It is a native run casino, which has wide open spaces, high ceilings, and a nice layout. The main competition for the casino is across the river in Canada. There is the Niagara Falls Casino (with 1800 slots, table games, and has been in place for about 20 years). There is the Fallsview casino (which is only a few years old and has 3000 slots and a large hotel complex). There is also the Fort Erie Slots (a racetrack slots operation which has a respectable 1200 slots). In the past, the favourable exchange rate meant US patrons liked to visit Canada to make their dollars go a little further. However, with the exchange rate difference between 5 to 10%, and a beautiful fascility, Seneca has a leg up. Contributing to the success of Seneca is the fact it is the only casino in the area which allows smoking -- but still maintains a fairly effective non-smoking area.
How are the machines? Well, they feel a little tighter than the Canadian side. However, there are machines available in the US which never become available in Canada -- primarly the titles which are owned by the slot manufacturers -- with revenue being split by the manufacturer and casino. These are called "participation" machines. WMS commonly did this with their Monopoly machines IGT does this with their STAR WARS machines.
The fascility is thoroughly modern, featuring coinless slots ... a full range of machines which all denominations represented. The slot selection here is excellent ... in fact, world class. This is a great destination and very recommended. As far as winning ... it's no worse than the competition, but it's not the loosest slots around either.

PS - Another big bonus ... this casino is less busy than many others I have been to ... partly because of the large size ... and the amount of competition in the area.
