Hi everyone,
I wanted to run something by you guys. First of all every year Strictly Slots puts out their list of "Best of's". Well I was wondering what you all thought of this for this last year of 2009. The main reason why I am skeptical about this is because that magazine as we know is in trouble. Having said that I am questioning how accurate this information is because they ask for their readers to turn in ballots. If they cannot seem to get their magazine published in a timely manner, how can they pull off the ballots. Did people get their mags to vote? Did they receive and count the votes accurately? Just a few of the questions I have. Here is the list of the Best Slots for 2009 listed by categories in order of popularity: Best Reel Slot: WOF Top Dollar Triple Diamond Double Diamond Blazing 7's Best Reel Slot Theme: WOF Star Trek Tabasco Monopoly Indiana Jones Best Reel Slot Graphics/Design: Top Dollar WOZ Star Trek Indiana Jones Monopoly Best Reel Slot Bonus Round: WOF WOZ Blazing 7's Monopoly Reel 'em In Best Progressive Reel Slot Machine: WOF Blazing 7's Deal or No Deal Megabucks Double Diamond Best New Reel Slot Machine: WOZ Indiana Jones Star Trek (reel) ? Monopoly Grand Hotel Big Event Playboy Best Video Theme: Monopoly Star Trek Elvis (haven't seen one) Indiana Jones WOZ Best Video Slot Graphics/Design: Monopoly WOZ Star Trek Star Wars Indiana Jones Best Video Bonus Round: Star Trek WOZ Indiana Jones Monopoly WOF Best Video Slot Machine: Cleopatra Monopoly Star Trek WOZ Indiana Jones Best New Video Slot Machine: WOZ Monopoly (no base game title listed) Indiana Jones Star Trek Star Wars So what do you all think? I see some odd things here that kind of don't make sense to me. Your thoughts? |

Hard to say, considering we have almost nothing on the list...and certainly nothing new.
I think we should start our own list! ~Crazy Yadi |

Wow, Deb.. thanks for taking so much time and effort into your "Best of" threads! But then again, you always are doing just these sorts of things, and I think I speak for everyone that we really appreciate it!
As far as what I noticed, there are tons of duplicates on here, so, I wonder if you're correct in thinking that maybe a lot of different people didn't get to vote. And dear Yads, I think that's a great idea. I really enjoyed thinking of my favorites for the month of January! |

Honestly it took my all of about 10 minutes. I am a pretty fast typer. Anyway since I just got this issue which is November 2009 that has the best of in it, I am wondering when their cut off was for ballots because they are so far behind in publications did people actually even get their magazines that have the ballots in them. They do not offer voting online which would be the BEST thing to do you think? It just seems odd to me. I don't know maybe I over scrutinize or am too critical. One or the other I am sure! lol

For Cleopatra to have made that list is ridiculous, IMO. And I am a super model!!! That is how incredible that is! lmao
I really take issue with some of what it says. Especially when they have Star Trek which is ONLY video listed in two of the REEL categories.
