I play AO all the time and although i don't keep track of how i've done with it over the past couple of yrs i can honestly say this game owes me nothing, i've done well. But this game does have a few drawbacks including what you just mentioned. If you hit 4 or 5 symbols there are only 2 choices on the bonus wheel that will pay you more than just getting 3 symbols. The amount of credits at the top 12:00 position (which is what you hit) and the "?" which will pay you extra credits and then spin again. All other choices are the same as hitting 3 symbols. So you got lucky! Good for You!!

What usually is presented when landing on the ?? spot? Say your betting $1.25 about how much will it award you?

Hi Flushed, If your playing a one cent machine @ 1.25 then you're most likely covering all the lines x5. When the needle lands on the "?" you are awarded a double spin. You'll get a small amount of credits probably around 10 or 15 dollars for landing on the "?" and then it will spin again and can land anywhere although i've never seen the 2nd spin land on the "?" again.
