On Tuesday, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives continued their battle with the Senate over a bill intended to strengthen regulation and enforcement of the state's slot machine industry.
A unanimous vote by the House approved changes and sent the bill back to the Senate. This vote kept the bill from going to Gov. Rendell. This back-and-forth has been going on much of the last year, with one chamber often dropping pet provisions written in by the other. The legislative session ends on November 30th, and some experts believe that further revisions could delay the bill enough that it would not be passed.

Well if that is the case it certainly would be a blessing the the Freedom of the American People. The Land of Freedom, Liberty and Justice for all has lately become and autocratic society heading towards Big Brother and then what's the next step? Communism? Hmmmmm interesting thought. Would that mean then they would join forces with China?
Another interesting thought.... in the Bible (if you read it) it says the next World War will come from the Land of the Rising Sun. I wonder if the U.S. will join forces because by that time they might as well as they are taking the Liberty, Freedom and Justice out of the American way of life. No "In God We Trust", No praying in the schools. Such a sad display of Bureaucratic Domination. Okay off the soapbox for now.

I'm 34 years old. For most of my life, I have tried to vote for the person who I felt was more qualified. I have voted for Rupublicans, Democrats, and even Independents.
But after witnessing what the Bush administration has done during their time in office, I'm really considering just voting Democrat in the future. The behavior of the GOP (and their lame attempts to cover up said behavior) has been truly eye-opening and saddening. I can only hope that things will get better when Junior is out of office.

I've seen good and bad in both parties but in general of the two, the Democrats seem to be better for the economy and the country. We have higher success rates in smll startup businesses and lower unemployment under Dems.
But there is always a down side and one of the downsides is that the Dem. Party is callng for expansion of Social Security benefits to illegal aliens. So before you go off and vote totally Democrat because you are tired of Bush , do some research. Personally I never wanted another 4 years n the "Bush Leagues" after Daddy Bush's first term. Look at ALL the issues involved. Maybe your Republican candidate isn't against gambling and DOES think for himself or herself. Don't take ANY party line for granted. Look for the candidate who doesn't either. There might just be other issues more important than gambling at stake. I know - that's sacriledge, but after fighting Social Security for over 4 years with no success, while people sneak over the brder and get paid to stay - from money I contribued to a system that won't let me have any back now that I need it... well, that's an eye opener. |

Well said Najdoyza. Many years ago here in Canada there were two major candidates. Diefenbaker (Conservative) and Pearson (Liberal). The saying in those days was "vote for Dief go on relief" and the reason they said that was because whenever the Conservative government took power all construction and growth stopped dead. The Conservative party has always been for the Big Guy with Bucks and the "little" people could suck the hind one.
So many people here in Canada voted Liberal for many many years until a "well-known" Liberal Pierre Elliot Trudeau took power and in his second year screwed the country. So they voted in a third party New Democrats. And since then our country has never been the same. They went back Conservatives who were as bad as ever and then to Liberals for years and now there are no real leaders in either party. So to base who you vote for on the fact of one Bill, which I agree is sacrilege, is really not a good idea.
