Default Linked vs. Non-Linked

Just wanted to get some opinions on this one. Do you think it is better to play a machine that is linked to other machines and has the bigger progressive jackpot, or is it better to play a non-linked game that has the regular jackpot size?

Hard to say. If it was me i would base the betting on wther or not I had ever seen anybody win on those machines and whether or not I have ever seen people win on the links and what the relationship was between them, if any.

In my opinion it depends on what the start of the progressive was. Usually there is someone there that can tell you where it started or when it was last won. If it is in the range of where it normally hits I would give it a try but if it is near the start of the progressive amount go sit at a regular machine and win a couple of jackpots there if you can.

It depends on your goals and temperament. If you want to go for the slim chance of hitting the really big jackpot, and you don't mind having more frequent losing sessions in exchange for the hope of getting the life-changing money that would provide, go for the linked machines. On the other hand, if you want more frequent small winning sessions, and that would make you happier and entertain you more, than go with the standalone machines. Or mix it up and play some of both. The great thing about slots is that they're kind of mindless, like eating junk food. Pure cotton candy entertainment in a money-wasting sort of way.

If the payoff schedule is the same, then go for the bigger jackpot. Remember, though, that if the jackpot is $1200 or more it will require a W-2G to collect your winnings.

The number of machines or players in a link does not affect the probabilities on your machine. The only affect of other players on a linked progressive is to reduce the chances of you being first to hit the jackpot.

Greymalkin I did not know that. So low cash winners slide under the radar hey?
They never show that tax collecting stuff in the movies!
