Default Actors & Poker

So many movie actors have actually become poker players for real. Of all the players that you see in the tournaments (actors and actresses) which one do you think is the best and do you see any one of them ever getting to the point of winning the coveted Gold Bracelet. If so which one will it be.

I think Mista Kotta has become very proficient and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get to the top echelon first. What is your pick?

I hear ya on the Mista Koterrrrr but I think Meg Tilly (is it her or her sister?) Jennifer Tilly is pretty good. Men love to underestimate a woman. But aren't Matt Damon and Ben Affleck bracelet winners from some tournament? I know Affleck won some big pot I remember the headline I think it was East Coast.

Tilly is good, but I saw her on Celebrity Poker and she just turned me off. She almost played a caricature of herself. Always joking about "If I flash my boobies then you'll do whatever I want you to". Just made me ill. I know she an play, she won the women's event - but she just acted so ditzy it was sickening.

It's a strategy. Is it any worse than the people who play with chips or make a lot of noise or talk to the dealer or nurse their cellphones like pacifiers?

Yes it was Jennifer Tilly who won the invitational women's event of the WPT Women Legends of Poker. The winner (unfortunately I came 9th out of 365) was also invited to sit at that table and since it was a friend of mine I went to the taping. (side-bar - if you happen to see that on TV and see a woman in the background with a large black hat with gold trim that was me)

Anyway, a rather funny incident happened. Tilly was acting up between takes and made some comment about sleeping her way to the top in show business and someone yelled out "And in poker too". She laughed and looked over at her boyfried (can't remember his name now but he is well known in the poker world) and exclaimed "Why yes, I guess I did that too!" LOL....The whole room laughed at that one.

I believe Jennifer Tilly is involved with Phil Laak, also known as The Unabomber.

As far as who's the best, I guess Tilly and Affleck have the strongest credentials at the moment. Which is good, since their acting careers have gone down the toilet.

9th out of 365 is better than i would do. I'll look for you onthe WSOP tape!
Maybe that would be a great charity matchup like Bobby Riggs and Billy Jean King. Affleck versus Tilly. The cold hard cruel turn of the card...

I love watching celebrity poker showdown. I think new episodes are coming back on soon. I don't really know of any celebrities (actors or actresses) that actually play poker in real tournaments. I think some of them date poker players, but that is about it. The question is........would you rather date a celebrity or a poker player? LOL For me that is a huge coin toss.

OMG the actor. How could you trust someone who bluffs for a living?
I would say that the acotr part coud be fun if you had the cass of different shows doing tables. Like ER versus Grey's Anatomy celebrity poker.
I would love to watch that.
