Default How can I convert a token machine to coins????

I recently bought a japanise slot machine that only accepts tokens. Because of legal reasons, the saleswoman told me she could not tell me how to convert from tokens to coins but she also said that it was very easy to do. Also Can anyone tell me how to adjust the credit value per game?? Thanks

I found this on a website. Hope it helps. By the way, I spent over an hour looking, so it's pretty hard to find info on the subject. Anyway, here it is:

Q:: Is it possible to change a token slot machine over to a coin operated machine?

A:: Yes you can convert a token machine to coin, you need to convert the hopper to the coin that you are going to use, and change the coin in the coin comparator, and the coin head.

If the machine accepts bills you will need to change the denomination in the program so that you get the proper number of credits for the bills that are inserted if its a quarter you get 4 credits for each 1 dollar bill etc.

That will only work in Vegas style machines.

The machines from Japan will most likely have to have a plastic cable tie placed (glued down) in the travel area .. where the coin rolls through the comparitor. Basically you are trying to tell the machine that a quarter is the same size as a 0.984" token by raising the coin up.

You are probably better off in the long run playing with tokens in the machines from Japan since you risk damaging the hopper.

Depends on the machine you have. Vegas style machines .. just change the coin in the coin comparitor. Japan machine you probably need to place a cable tie on the track that the coin rolls down. Paschilo owners will tell you that you should just leave them as is since the hopper is not designed for quarters.
