server based slot kind of give me the willies......at least with the old slots......they had to open the machine and remove the board to to change payout percentages........with server based.......they can do it at will.....hidden from sight froma control in the sanctum sanctorum of the casino.
I read somewhere that the gaming authorities would still have to be present when the changes were made and the machines would have had to be idle.....with no credits on it....for them to be able to make changes....this way....... no changes could be made while someone was on the machine......and once the change was made.......it would flash a message of some sort for 15 minutes or so after the change was made. Still do not like it.....

Would be pretty Bad if they could alter the game during game play. this is gonna lead to conspiracy theorys about paid operators controlling the outcomes of games and hackers corrupting the games or even better making them pay out!
