GalaCoral, the British betting and gaming group has blocked US citizens from placing bets on their website.
"This is in view of the current uncertainty over the U.S. legal situation," a spokesman for GalaCoral said. "A very small number of U.S. citizens have played bingo and poker on the Web site and Gala has never taken bets on U.S. sporting events and has never advertised in the U.S."

Crazy stuff - this seems to be a growing trend with these offshore companies. I think the days for online gambling, at least in the USA, are definitely getting shorter, and the darkness is approaching.

Well it's just more backlash from the BetonSports debacle. I know that was sports betting and doesn't really apply to what we're talking about here but it's a good excuse for the powers that be (Republicans) to step on a few liberties. Kinda like starting a war over something that doesn't exist isn't it?

Among his many crimes, I believe Saddam Hussein was also running an offshore gambling operation.
