My friend and I are headed there Thursday a.m. I'm hoping to win.....at least something! She has never been to a casino in her life. My husband and I go all the time. I have never won more than $1,000.00 on a slot machine and that was the old quater Jackpot Party (I miss that machine) I hit the purple 7's 3 times in a row and won misc. along the way. We play Super Jackpot Party, I really like this but miss the reel machine.
I'm only taking $100.00 I hope to at least break even or get alot of play time...is that asking for much? Is there really a strategy to winning at slots? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Amy |

Hi Amy:
As long as you are satisfied with not maximizing your bet, you should be fine. The newer machines (better graphics) are typically more volitile. This means the wins are bigger, but less frequent -- so, if you are not winning, things go downhill faster. Stay aware from progressives. Don't get "hosed" into a 20, 25, 40+ line betting if you only have a $100 bankroll. You can still win big and have fun with a smaller bet. If you are playing less than max line bet, try to play games which are triggered with a scatter (instead of requiring 3 bonus symbols on the payline) (this will insure you get as many bonus rounds as someone playing a much larger bet). Think about playing $10 each in a machine ... and splitting the proceeds (if any). This will make your money last longer -- and make it more fun for both of you. /\/\/\/\ the Shamus /\/\/\/\ |
