I got a Bally S5500 slot machine and replaced the battery due to code 81, then I got a code 83-f. I moved the jumper (j10) to clear the ram and held the pseudo coin and test buttons for 5 seconds when turning machine on. Now the display reads ch-p and then 83-f. Any idea what is wrong?
thanks, Jeff |

Do a complete clear set jumper and hold in test and pseudo at the same time till you get a CH C then CL C then take jumper off and start game. you just did a partial clear

My machine is doing the same thing--cleared the jumper but when I hold the pseudo/test nothing happens
Held it for 10 mins and longer--just get 88888 or 66666 |

If you look at the ram chips that is U3-4 and U 12-15 they probley have 96000 on them if they do you need ram clear chips. You should change these chips to 92000 then you dont need ram clear chips just set jumper and hold buttons and wala game up and running
