While I am not high roller, I often play slots in the casino for 10-15 hours straight, so you know I like to play - Actually, I am a slot junkie
. I have been tempted to try playing the $5 slots but have yet to actually do it. I am thinking of trying $100 on my next trip to Vegas (Thanksgiving Weekend). Here are my questions:1) Should I even bother with only $100 to dedicate towards the $5 slots? 2) At $5/pull should I put it all into one machine or should I go with $25/machine at 5 pulls each, allowing me to try my luck on 4 different machines? FYI - I played the $5 slots once with my aunt but that was many years ago. We both bought in for $20 and the max bet was $10, so she put in a coin and I put in a coin and we won $0 on the first pull and on the second pull we won $100. We split the money and we won $0 on our final two spins. Of course it is different when you are playing 50/50 with someone else. Thanks. |

I know lots of people are going to disagree with me here, but if you are playing $5 slots, it is likely not a multi-line video slot. It is likely one of the standard IGT/BALLY mechanical reel type slots. I'm not sure how much fun it is going to be ... however .... my recommendation. It does not matter what machine you pick ... because it is totally random. Try to pick a machine which does not give a "kicker" in the jackpot for maximum bet -- this way, you can just play $5 a spin, total ... and not lose out of a bunch of cash (eg. 1 coin jackpot = $4000, 2 coin jackpot = $10000 -- you would rather it be $5G and $10G -- a linear payout). Good luck with your mission. Let us know how it turns out. /\/\/\/\ the Shamus /\/\/\/\ |
