Hello everyone! This is my first post, and I'm excited to find a forum on slot machines, which I love to play. I've read all of the threads and responses, and have learned a lot from all of you. I have this question:
Where can I find a current list of high and low payout percentage averages and the average hit frequencies of slot machines? Gayle Mitchell compiled a list of the top 200 slot machines with this information, but the list was developed years ago, and is no longer current. I tried to find this using Google, etc., but to no avail. Can anyone help on this? Thanks in advance! |

Hello Renee:
Welcome to the forem. I am interested in the same information you mentioned, but the only way you can get it is by compiling it from industry-type people. They are not exactly giving this information out. It's like a magician giving away how they do their tricks. However, I can tell you that PAR sheets are relatively easy to find for machines that are 15 years vintage. There is public information available on websites for IGT, WMS Gagming and Bally (I provided some links in some of the postings). Modern machines have payback percentages which are usually ordered by the casino and set at the factory. A machine typically has multiple denomination, line configurations (9,15,20,25,50 etc), and payback percentage (usually between 85 to 96%). If any industry types want to share some PAR sheets, I would love to see them. Can you share what you have from Gayle Michell? I have not seen it. Some people, like Micheal Shackleford have observed the payback percentage by mapping the symbols (something you can not do on a 3 reel-machine ... since it uses virtual reels). /\/\/\/\ the Shamus /\/\/\/\ |
