The Shamus is on a distinguished road
Default AC Coin

[quote=BadGambler]Hello. Great forum. One that I didn't see on the list is AC Coin and Slot. You can read more about them by following a link to my new blog. Please check it out. There's a link to their company website on the right hand side.

I incorrectly lumped AC Coin as part of IGT. According to the web site, they are the exclusive distributor of IGT games in Atlantic City. They also develop games in-house, which are then distributed by IGT elsewhere.

AC Coin has been kind of "hit and miss". Their "Slotto" games were quite successful, and still enjoy some popularity -- however, the maintenance on the machines has not been very good. Most people would think the game chooses the bonus wins using the lottary-style balls popping at the top of the display. This is just for "effect". The machine actually uses a random number generator ... just like every other game. . A duplicate set of balls is contained within the enclosed box immediately under the balls in the "bubble". The game shows you a ball that matches the random number it picked. If you have played a "Slotto" game when the bubble is broken, you can confirm this information. However, it is still a good game.

I found games like "Bewitched" were ahead of their time. They were more "volitile" than other games at the time. Now, this is the standard. Your money gets eaten up fast, and the medium to large sized wins happen frequently as well. The bonus rounds will tend to pay really poorly, or less frequently, really good. They is not so much middle ground.

I have played "King of the Grill" -- and it was okay. They bonus round was good, if you could get it. Didn't exactly start out (except for the "pigs" on the displays).

For the newer games, I'm not a big fan of "Bankroll" -- mainly because the bonus is often quite disappointing. Ditto for "Sparky's Red Hot Jackpots". Yes, the bonus round comes up a lot, but it is just so "anti-climactic" 9 out of 10 times ... and there is no way to skip the bonus round animations etc. Again, "Bingo Nights" -- lots of bonus ... lots of disappointment. On these games, I fnid myself raising the bet -- because there are frequent hits, but it adds up to very little. If you happen to hit 1000-to-1 you can make a decent score ... and yes, that can happen ... but it is frankly, boring, waiting for all of the lousy payouts to get to the good ones.

Maybe you could tell us more about your wins ... and I will give it a few more hours of play.

No arguments ... "Bewitched" and "Slotto" are good, classic games.
