Default Zeus Thunderbolt!!!!!

Zeus struck me with his Thunderbolt today...I was down to my last few dollars and walked up and stuck it in and put it on a nickle denomination. I spun it a couple of times Max BET. Third spin Zeus struck and I ended up with $334.00. Totally awesome!! I about fainted!

Hi Flower:

While it is not a bad hit, a maximum bet on a nickel Zeus machine is like 30-lines ($1.50) times 5 -- or $7.50. While I am not going to sneeze at $334, you were definitely lucky to hit anything (that was around a 50-to-1 ratio). I have been able to pay close to that on a 2-cent machine with 30 lines played times 2.

I want to learn to play the games better...But, I did talk to a casino employee once who said it would be better to play max bet because then you don't miss all the game has to offer.

I am sorry...I did not mean to come off as stubborn...I apologize.

No flower it wasn't you, I was commenting because I thought Shamus was a little tough on you about playing max bet. I personally do not think max bet is best. You just need to make sure that you cover all of your lines. If you don't then you might miss out!!!!

I'm happy that Flower was able to hit on this bet. I play this game all the time ... and I think it is one of the best in the Casino (same game as Palace of Riches II). I personally like the 2-cent denomination ... but at one of my local slot/race tracks (Elora, Ontario, Canada), I played the 5-cent denomination. I found it a little pricey, but I did okay. The higher the denomination, the better the game seems to play. I also recently played the 1-cent denomination at the Niagara Fallsview Casino -- and you can really notice the difference. It is much more difficult to hit the bonus round.

The casino staff is correct for this standpoint -- if you don't cover each line, you could miss out on some aspect of the bonus round (eg. If the bonus round is trigger by 3 symbols on a payline, there is a higher chance of triggering ... or, if the bonus is triggered by a scatter of symbols, you will have all lines covered for your free spins).

However, most multi-line machines have no advantage to upping the "bet per line". I only bet more per line, if I want to multiply the risk.

There is no right or wrong way -- but a lot of people still max bet on multi-line machines ... but they are doing this from the old world, where the 3rd coin paid much better (for a jackpot win) than the 1st or 2nd.

Hope this clarifies.

The way you make real money is by lining up Zeus. He is worth lots of money, and there are plenty of "stacked" Zeus on the reels. In the bonus round, it adds "stacked WILDS" -- so you can get a combination of Zeus and stacked WILDS -- if you can manage to get them 4 deep, it is a BIG WIN. If you get 5 across -- even on some of the lines, it is almost definitely a hand pay. It actually happens a fair amount.

Great game -- for an intangeable reason, I do prefer the twin game, "Palace of Riches".
