Default Progressive Strategy??

I like to play games with big jackpots, especially the progressives. If I notice that a jackpot is well over its usual payout or at an all-time high, I make sure to get in a few spins every day.

Would you really call this a strategy or just good sense?

I call it a strategy for sure! However are you talking about the linked progressives or the stand alones? I will put 20-40 bucks in a linked progressive machine, just for fun, but will usually not steak my entire bankroll on one no matter how high the jackpot is. The odds are just too high.

With the stand alones, I have had tremendous luck looking for machines that have not hit in a while. In the past four months, I've hit several stand alone progressives. Both quarters and dollars. Over Thanksgiving, I hit 1,070.00 on a QuickHit dollar progressive, then went to a 2 dollar machine that was at 2,042.00 The dollars reset at 1,000 and the 2 dollars at 2,000 it takes quite alot of play for the progressive to get to those amounts. They only increase a penny, every 2 pulls at 2 dollars a pull on the dollar slots and 4 dollars a pull on the 2 dollar slots that 1070 or 2042 represents ALOT of play on that machine. While this does not ALWAYS pay, it does quite often. This last Friday, I waited for a machine that was at 1081.00 which was quite high for that particular machine. This one is ALWAYS being played and usually hits around 1030-1040. So I patiently waited for a guy to play thru his credits and when he walked away without hitting, I jumped on and proceeded to loose 200 bucks! As did the next few players after me! I have also hit one that was at 1007.00, which is relatively low. So, you just never know.
