I got a hand pay for 58.00 at Le Bayou in Vegas last year. On a nickle machine I went to cash out and had to call the attendant because the machine didn't have that many nickles lol. Does that count haha? Otherwise, no major hand pay ever.

My problem is that I got a handpay when I first started gambling (for 1519.00) and thought that was something that would occur maybe not frequently, but definitely every year! Hahaha. Have not had another hand pay yet in many, many, many hours of gambling. It seems very elusive now...

Wow, I'm so sorry. That's just not right! Between my DH and I we have had 6 handpays in the past 15 years. 4 of those were W2g payouts. When I showed up with two W2g's for my 2010 taxes my accountant was not happy. She's very conservative.

BTW, always carry your photo ID on you when gambling. Otherwise WHEN you do hit that W2g payout, they will need a photo ID. My DH actually won $1400 on a cruise ship a few years ago and didn't have his photo ID. He had to go back to our room which was on the opposite end of the ship and come back before he could collect! It took about 40 minutes for him to make that trek. I sat there at the machine and got all the high-fives and scooped up the free drinks.

Good luck to you! I know it will happen for you.

One time at Turning Stone Casino, I walk by a machine and see it says Jackpot won 1,444.00. Call Attendant.... So i motion to my friend who im walking with, i say. "Look fourteen hundred, dang." and before i finish that sentence, a slot attendant is behind me congratulating me on my win etc etc.... im so flabergasted that i cant even talk. when i finally get some words from inside my empty mind, i meekly say "its not mine"...... as i utter this an old man limps into my line of site and claims the prize... Does this count. lol (i know it doesnt) I just wish in some way i could have gotten that 1400..Later in the trip i end up losing my BR and hit the ATM for a few depresssing losses 8(

Just a Tip for all you guys who never had a handpay, depending on howmuch you can afford to play, try to find machine that can award Major jackpot at any bet, (aristocrat banana king, outback jack etc) or the new Kanomi or how its spelled machine, however I never had luck on the later ones. Otherwise of course the more you bet the better your chance at a handpay.

But the any bet progressive are a good way to enjoy a long play while still having a chance to win a good amount of money, $2000 Major on a .60c bet for me this week.

And another thing, for those who goes to vegas, I was over there earlier this week and let me tell you, the casino on the strip are beautiful BUT the machine seems really tight so might want to try fremont st, casino might be less glamorous but alot less overhead therefor meaby more for you
