So, anybody doing the gas point deal @ Giant/Martins? You buy 3 boxes of Puffs (singles) and get 20 gas points?

I would have then too. Gather a few and donate them to an old folks home near you.

Here is my latest shopping trip. I wasn't going to shop until Sunday, but items on the shelf were getting slim and the employees told me the truck just came in and what I wanted wouldn't be restocked this weekend before my coupons expired. So, instead of taking the truck and DH with me Sunday, I shopped on Friday night.

I pre-paid for a few items and will go back to get them when they are back in stock. Then instead of getting a rain check I can still use my coupons close to expiration. The store still owes me (22) Minute Rice Ready cups, (4) Best Foods mayo, and (3) Wolfgang Puck pasta sauces.

This was a good sale with a lot of B2G1 items, and coupon round-up where the store rounds coupons .99 and under up to a dollar, plus I had a lot of matching coupons.

    165 items
    Total savings $410.11, 100%
Total out of pocket .49 cents

Spare any pickles there Sue? Haha Wow, another amazing haul!

Well I'm here to brag about my better than FREE cat chow! I had to go on a crazy mission tonight, in the pouring rain, to score this deal. At Dollar General they have a tear pad in the back for $2 Off a variety of cat/dog food, any size. I ran in there, tore 8 coupons off the pad, back to the car. Cut off the Dollar General logo advertising and had my manufacturer coupons. Went down the road to Weis Markets where they have Purina Cat Chow for $1.89. Bought 4 as that is max in one transaction. They couldn't give me overage, so I bought some mints to cover that up and ended up paying $.81. Sweet! I'll go back tomorrow to get me 4 more!

Good deal on cat food, and I could use some! Almost out. Not sure about cutting off the logo... was it right at the top of the coupon? Doesn't look like you had to alter it. I don't think that would work here. $1.89 is already way lower than most of the cat food prices I've seen here, so you got a great deal!

DH had asked for pickles and there was an unadvertised special of 10 for $10. I had $1 off 1 coupons and $2 off 2 coupons for a total of 19 jars absolutely free. I could have bought more and they wanted me to, but I used all the coupons I had, LOL.

I'm taking off work early today to donate to the church food bank. They are only open 1pm to 4pm daily. I can see why they run out of food! The hours are horrid, but it's all elderly women that volunteer. I thought about donating to the college food bank until I read their requested items - fresh meat, fresh produce, and all healthy food only. Really? That's a tough order to fill, even for me when I shop and get a lot of food free. I think I'll donate to the people who will take anything and let the students worry about stocking their own pantry until they appreciate donations a little more. How do you donate fresh chicken and vegetables for an entire college?

They also said they have paperwork to help students get on food stamps. I'm not opposed to that, but I think that teaching them to coupon and shop smart would prevent using state funds that other people could use. I'd love to get people off food stamps!

Well it was actually just an advertisement for Dollar General on the side, so it didn't affect the coupon. But I did feel dirty cutting it off and taking it elsewhere! I went back today after work and got (4) more free boxes and this time the guy, who I know personally, lowered all of the coupons down to $1.89, so I didn't get the overage on my $1 Goldfish I bought to pad it. I'll have to have a talk with him..haha

I added 300+ more after this picture was taken... But you get the idea.

I am going to need another binder soon. I organize by category not date, so I guess it could be worse.
