I usually stay in the Masquarade Tower at the Rio - I prefer to be off the strip and they offer shuttle service to Harrahs on the strip every 15 or 20 minutes.

I have only stayed at Paris and Caesars, and unless I am attending a function at Caesars I opt for Paris. I don't choose either for the rooms, although they both have excellent rooms. Paris is smaller and more to my liking. It sounds like many love Rio, I should go check it out more thoroughly than I have!

The Caesar's forum tower rooms are remodeled and nice with easy access to the casino but not much of a view if that matters to you. I would say no to the classic and Roman rooms there. We have stayed at Paris Luxury and like the casino alot. I think Harrah's website has some pics under the individual casino links.

We stayed in a Caesar's classic room about 5 yrs ago. Had no bathroom door, no provision for one either.

Augustus Tower at Caesars are very nice and if you get a south facing room, you get a great view of the B. fountains.
Show up, Shut up, and Get it done. - Never mind i'll do it myself.

Georgiagambler - I just got a similar offer from CET for comped rooms at 8 of their properties. Decided on Paris in December, due to the location! I love the strip and don't mind walking. Bally's (next door to Paris) has a free shuttle to take you to Rio if you wanna visit.
Don't get the Bally's South tower rooms. They are older and the carpets are trashed. Maybe they can upgrade you for $10 a night to get a North Tower Deluxe if you like. These are remodeled and look nice.
But if you want style, go to Caesar's, but you may have to walk a little further. Oh, and you are on the 'good' side of the strip then!

Thanks to all for your feedback. My friend booked a Go Room at Flamingo. We are not going until mid December so I'm going to hold out a little longer to see if I get any better offers. I might end up at Red Rock for one night if I still have any comps there.

. I'm using my comp so for me the room rates are reasonable :-). If you play at any casinos locally that also have casinos in Vegas I would check with with them first to see what types of rates you can get. If you don't have any casinos you have comp rates at, I would recommend Hotwire or Travelocity to see what kind of rates they have depending on your travel dates. There are almost always some types of Vegas specials. Some people don't use Hotwire because they want to see the name of the hotel but if you do a package with car or air, it will show you. I usually go by the star rating and location. If you play around with those sites and check out the dates you are looking at I'm sure there are plenty of us on this site that can provide feedback. There are also several other recent threads regarding Vegas trips on the SMF that might help you. I usually rent a car when I'm there because I like to venture off strip but if you won't have a vehicle you would likely want to stay on the strip for convenience.
