    Default Empire City

I just went to Empire City in Yonkers for the first time today. Maybe it's because I am spoiled by Mohegan Sun and AC, but I was not impressed at all by the games there. There were quite a few games that I knew but they seemed to play slower, almost like they were dumbed down for this casino. Of the machines I played, only Super Jackpot Party was pretty much exactly like it was every other time I played it. I was also surprised by the number of $.02, $.05 and $.10 machines. Very few penny slots, which is what I prefer.

I'm a New Yorker, so it was fun to just jaunt over to Yonkers on the Academy Bus (which is essentially free) for a few hours, but for the most part, I think I'll be sticking to Mohegan and AC.

PS - I'm a newbie but I did not see any threads on Empire City when I searched. Feel free to disregard if this has been covered recently!

I hardly go to this casino because the slots here suck. I much prefer Mohegan Sun because of Star Trek, Happy Days, and WOZ because the playability is much more fun. Our machines are just so dumb down that it is not even funny.

Ooh, I've been to Empire City a bunch of times, and my biggest one time win was 100 dollars, which didnt even begin to make up for what I lost. PLUS, and I know I'm spoiled with the CT casinos/AC casinos I usually frequent, but paying for drinks makes me homocidal.

Call me a pest, but our service is not that great and the food I don't eat there because I remain(my dad will kill for this) faithful to the buffet over at Mohegan Sun. I don't why, but the food over there is much better than the food at Empire City. Something about the quality of Mohegan makes me remain faithful to the place since I played my first slot at age 21. And that was Enchanted Unicorn. The 2nd I went there was Cleopetra and The Munster slot machine.

I've eaten at Empire City twice: once at the upstairs Lillian Russell (maybe?) cafe, food was horrid, service was worse, then downstairs at whatever that little food court is, vastly overpriced, food not great.

Empire City is fun for an hour.

You got it! That's how long your money will last.
Absolute worse payouts. So yeah, if you just need a
quick slot fix, then you can hit EC.

I'd rather take the 2+ hour drive to Mohegan or AC.

They really lack in WMS games, which are my favorite.

Empire has the worst payouts ever. You have to be really lucky to hit. It's the price you pay for a quick fix when you can't get to Mohegan Sun or AC.

And I happen to live in Yonkers. Did you know they stopped with the commercials that said, "Vegas? No! Yonkers." I swear, they should renamed Empire City: The Sucker's City! Because if I get a quick slot fix, that's the end of my fun. I don't need anything else after that. I'll just deposit my money in the bank and leave.

Lol I didn't notice that they stopped the commercials but I did notice that there werent as many jackpot winners for August on their web site. When I was there I didn't see anyone getting a handpay. This place is a MAJOR RIPOFF!!

I'm glad I didn't go there. A friend wanted to go on day but I went to AC instead since I heard nothing but bad things about the place. For me Empire City only about 30 minutes closer than AC so I see no reason to ever go there.
