The 3 L's Live, Love, Laugh
This really happened! I am not kidding! My husband can verify it.
Although this happened few years ago, it seems like just yesterday. Believe me, I have relived it many times. My DH and I were in the car on the way home from a visit to my brother's house. As usual, I fell asleep while my husband was driving. We were almost to Mt. Pleasant, MI. This is were the Soaring Eagle is located. I popped up and looked at my husband and told him we had to go to the Soaring Eagle. I told him that I just had a dream about a machine I needed to play. My husband does not like to gamble, but he gave in. I told him that the machine was a 25 cent diamond machine. That it was by a beam that comes down and curves to the floor and it would be on one of the round formations. This was strange because I don't play quarter machines, only penny and nickel machines. I told him I was not sure where it would be but that I would know it when I saw it.
We entered the casino and went to the right side. I looked around, but did not see a machine that looked like the one in the dream. I told him to forget it, so we began to walk out on the left side of the casino. Suddenly, I saw the machine. I yelled, "That's it!" I rushed toward the machine as I was telling my husband that I saw the machine from my dream. A man heard say that I had to play that machine. As I walked by him, he said, "Your too late." I asked him why. He told me that a man had just hit big on the machine. He had just won over $40,000.00. I think it was around $47,000.00. It must have been a progressive win. Sure enough, I looked and there was a man sitting in a wheelchair. He was at the machine waiting to be paid. I was shocked to say the least.
I looked at my husband and said, "Don't say a word." We turned and walked out. When we got to the car I asked him if he could believe that that just happened. He was pretty much in shock, too. We decided that no one else would ever believe it.
I still wonder if I had gone in on the left, would that have been me? It still freaks me out to think about it.
Coincidence? I think not!
P.S. I asked my husband to read thru this so that I was sure he remembered it the same way. He feels it is very accurate to the way it happened.
