Joker's Heist ... what do you think ...?

Hi Folks:

I recently played Joker's Heist. It is very much in the style of the Dark Knight game from IGT. This one uses the Star Wars / Bombs Away hardware.

This game has some of the best effects I have seen in a slot. IGT even threw in the kitchen sink.

I wonder what everyone thought of this game?

I've only played it briefly twice, once at M Resort and once at PHo. I tend to like games that have lots of random elements popping out at me, so I did like this aspect of it. But I'd really need to spend a bit more time on it to give a good answer. It always seems busy when I see it, so just getting a seat would be the first step toward developing a more informed opinion!

What do I think of Joker's Heist?

Well...after playing it at Borgata since about July with my girlfriend and my mom, here's what I got:

The bonus games trigger very frequently. It seems to trigger once every ten to fifteen pulls. But the machine doesn't pay very well at all. It's obvious that Joker's Card Caper bonus pays the best. It's the bonus game that emerges least frequently. It features a "locking symbol" and free spins with cards that flip and the more locking symbols that come up, is how much you get paid. If you're familiar with IGT licensed newer video slots, think the Droid Match bonus in Star Wars: Droid Hunt, or the Shoes bonus in Sex and The City.

Even with max bet ($2.70/pull), the highest I've seen this game pay was about $85. It's fun. But doesn't pay well. Much like IGT's Godzilla.

Much like the majority of the new games out there now, the game is designed around appearance. Fun to watch and play, not very fun for the bankroll. I managed to walk away with money from it, but it was a struggle. I'm starting to feel like casinos are turning more into arcades, heh.

Played the slot at the Golden Nugget early January and didn't fall in love....seems the license games have bad paybacks.

I'm not sure ... Monopoly Jackpot Station, Wizard of Oz and Ruby Slippers all seem to deliver some pretty amazing hits (all licensed). I have a feeling IGT changed they strategy. For example -- they pushed the bet up to 50-cent / 80-cents about a year ago ... but Joker's Heist (45-cents) and other new IGT games have dropped their price. Player's don't like when you break that $1 mark (on a 2x bet).
