Talked with plastic surgeon about Corbin today. We are waiting till swelling goes down to fix bones around eyes. Thinking a week or 2 for that. Once we know his trach is secure, we can take him off the vent at reduce the sedation. Plastic surgeon said he expects him to be here for about 3 more weeks. So hopefully out before end of month.

I can't even imagine how much pain your family is in at the moment. We do have a very special group of people here and I am so grateful for them. Tragedies like this I think help to put life in a sort of perspective. No matter how bad you think you have it, then you read or hear about something like this that was just so tragic and it just makes you grateful for what you do have. Thanks so much for keeping us updated and I wish you all strength.

Tibbar, I hope and pray for the healing for your grandsons and for strength and courage for all of your family. My heart breaks for them knowing after they get past the physical they have the emotional to deal with. This really hit home with me - - I have two precious grandsons, brothers, Dan is 5, Nick will be 8 on May 31st. I can't even imagine how difficult this is for you and your family to endure. I've been out of work for 3 months, just started my new job on May 7, and when I get my first paycheck I will be proud to make a donation to the fund. I think it's amazingly wonderful the way people on this post offer support and encouragement. I'm glad that I found this site.
