Default Timber Wolf wild symbol question

Last Friday I hit the jackpot during the bonus round and a fellow member, pokerwayne, was asking if it was a 5x24x15 for the deer on that spin. (see picture)
    photo-1.jpg

I really don't know the answer to this. But if he is right, then that spin for the deers should have been for $4,500 alone. Instead, it was for $1,600. (12.5*8*15) + (12.5*8) The more I thought about it shouldn't the wild count as a winning symbol on screen? If that is the case, then the 24x is right and I should've won another $2,900 on that spin alone. If this is correct, do you guys think there is anything I can do to go back to the casino to collect the extra $2,900? That's a lot of money.

Fantastic! I didn't know you could hit wins like this on that machine. I have no idea about the payout though. You got the 3X, 5X symbols and lots of deer. I don't know how to figure it. I'm amazed you got $600. on four owls too. Makes me want to play that game.

The game paid correctly. With some Aristocrat games you only get paid for wild multipliers once. In other words they don't count towards the "ways to win" feature.

In your screen shot the game would calculate the deer first - 1x2x2x1x2 = 8.

You will then get paid for the deer without the multiplier - 8*12.50 = $100

You then get paid for the deer with the multipliers 3x5 = 15, so 8*15*12.50 = $1500

The spin is worth $1600 total. Other Aristocrat games with multiplying wilds use this math including Pompeii, Wild Stallions, etc.

    Awesome hit!!!!!

Minixb and JesterPete...I mean no disrespect to JesterPete as he is very knowledgeable when it comes to how slots work but i must advise you on my extensive experience w ith Timberwolf slot. I have won several jackpots on Timberwolf very recently and here is how this slot machine pays. Your screen you posted shows three seperate wins. The largest is the deer with the 3x and 5x. This win is 12.50 for the five deer times 15 times 4 for 750. The second biggest is the retrigger owl win for 600 dollars and this info is displayed on the top of the screen. The third and lowest is the five deer without the 15 times and is therefore 12.50 times 8 for another 100 dollars. Therefore the three wins for the screen total 750 + 600 + 100 for 1450. The other money won at the top of the screen was due to the other spins before the screen you posted. I am very confident this is the way the Timberwolf scoring works. Also my totals agree with the amounts you show as credited and the amounts Jesterpete showed will result in more payout than you recieved. All the best...Salmoncatcher

    Hi Salmon,

Thanks for the info. TW is an Xtra Reel Power game so maybe it does pay different than the Reel Power games. Mini did say the deer paid $1600 which would make sense if TW paid the same as regular Reel Power games. You can't go by the credits on the screen as the the credits are still counting up. Where they stop nobody knows ...except Mini

Hey guys thanks for the info. It's making more sense to me now. I've never had a big win until now so it was interesting to analyze how the whole payout works during the bonus round

    Salmon,

I stand corrected. The wild multipliers do act as standalone pays.

    Hence,

    Just the deer pay $12.50 x 1x2x2x1x2 = $100
    The wilds pay $12.50 x 1x3x2x5x2 = $750

Thanks for keeping this old codger straight!

Jester...You have a great deal more knowledge and experience than me, but I just happen to have alot of time playing Timberwolf and I have seen a great deal of bonus play. I am lucky that we have one Timberwolf at my local digs that must be a great deal looser than the other ones as I can get this to bonus time after time and during the last two months I have won four really nice handpays ($500 is our handpay jackpot). If you double up the winning symbols during the bonus you get the multiples working for you on the three non-wild reels and only the 3x and 5 x. If you are lucky enough to have more stacked winning symbols with the 3x and the 5x wilds then you get the lower amount ignoring the 3x and 5 x. Aristocrat has some games that are different as far as I know and they pay every possible combination. In that scenario if you get winning symbols stacked with the two wilds you can get four separate winning combinations, but not with Timberwolf for some reason. One example is Aristocrats Fan Dancer slot machine. If you get the two wild fans on reels 2 and 4 and have the winning symbols on reel 2 and 4 along with the wild fans you end up getting four different wins. That is why its so hard to tell unless you have alot of playing time with a particular machine.

    Cheers...Salmoncatcher

    Minixb,

What was your final jackpot amount? I did not see the grand total anywhere yet.

    Thanks...Salmoncatcher
