Thumbs up You have to have at least one?! :) (Favorite Movie)

So I am watching (Edward Scissorhands) and it got me thinking... I always recommend this movie to people that have never seen it and wanted to know.

What movie do you love to recommend? That one that makes you smile when you watch it, you laugh out loud even when you are by yourself, and would be heart broken if it had never been made.

You can have more than one. I wanted to put together a list of movies to watch now that we have the projector all set up ((FINALLY)).

I have an open mind and will watch almost anything, documentaries, mini-series, foreign films, silent films, B&W Films, the list really goes on. It does not have to be mainstream.

    My Recommendations:

    Mini-Series-
    Tin Man
The 10th Kingdom - Childhood Favorite (Probably NOT that good if I am being honest with myself)

    Animation-
    Grave of the Fireflies
    (Anything My Hayao Miyazaki)

    Bart:
I have four films that stand out as my all-time favorite:
    1) "Being There" with Peter Sellers
    2) "Contact" with Jodi Foster
    3) "Trading Places" with Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd (obviously, for those who know me)
    4) "Shawshank Redemption" (love the kicker at the end)
... and my favorite soon to be made (someday in the future) "The Slotspert/Bartsimpson Day At The Slots"...

THis is SOOOOO hard for me to narrow down. DH and I are huge movie watchers and I love almost all genres. I am always shocked by how many people have not seen some of the classics though. I love old movies, so I would always suggest
What ever happened to baby jane
    Gone with the wind

In other genres Pride and Prejudice is one of my all time favorite movies. I could literally watch it over and over again and never get sick of it..

    honerable mentions
Shawshank redemption, Just friends, Casino, Midnight in the garden of good and Evil, The shining. As you can see Im all over the place!
The safest way to double your money is to fold it over and put it in your pocket....but that wouldnt be much fun!

    :-)

I just watched a movie tonight called "We need to talk about Kevin." OMG, I was NOT prepared! Had no idea what it was about but saw that John C. Reilly was in it so I was thinking it would be funny. WRONG!! Very disturbing...but also very good!

Just added them to my list.

I LOVE Jodi Foster and have seen almost everything she is in including Contact. Her E True Hollywood story and the other special they did on her I actually set to record.

Ok, you all can laugh if you want to I don't care. But my favorite movie has always been Mary Poppins. It is the first DVD I ever bought.

I also really love the Ocean 11 movies...for obvious reasons.
    It is what it is.
