Thread: Do you think a certain slot manufacturer pays better ...?

    For me,
Which: Aristocrat pay best, WMS pay worst.
Why: I can't explain it, just my experiences told me that the same amount that I bet on a Aristocrat machine is able to pay me up to $7,000 in a feature game and I never get such payout from another other makers before. Oh perhaps, Atronic paid me $6,000 once or twice but I really don't have much chances to play Atronic games in Singapore.
200,000cr is a Big Win to me, any below this figure is not.

I have to agree that the older machines pay better than the newer machines. Every "new" version of a machine pays worse than the last. WMS's Life of Luxury for example. I loved the original machines, the second version "The Best Things in Life" doesn't pay as well (IMO) as the original's, and the third version (not in Vegas - I only see at NA casinos) is the worst.

    Hi BonusSpin7:

That is very possible ... but if a machine is removed prematurely, it could be higher that the theoretical percentage ... not just lower ... so it should balance out for the player. What if a slot gives out a couple progressives ... or a few top amounts, but is only on the casino floor a month? It's VERY possible!

    Hi Joey:

re: At the end of the day, I do believe it's all based on preference and playing style.

You are current ... the $$$ paid back to players are essentially the same. It is just personal preference. However ... the really important part of the question is ... why to players feel that certain machines pay better?

For example ... Wicked Winnings, China Shores, Ruby Slippers ... I see big hits on them all the time ... and players will swear they pay better. I do beleive that player have such a great tendancy to remember wins, and forget about losses -- it makes it seem like the games "pay better".

Wait, slot machines Pay? I hadnt noticed...

IMO there are alot of folks that swear aristocrat games pay better...but they also play primarily aristocrat games. I would swear to you all that WMS games are the only games that pay a darned thing...but in all fairness I rarely ever play aristocrat games. There is such a huge contrast in the way an aristocrat game plays vs. a WMS game, so you are bound to prefer one to the other. What ever you prefer, thats what you find yourself playing the most...therefore thats what you will believe pays the most. I much prefer to sit down at a machine and play a hundred through it at minimum bet and probably walk away with half or more of that hundred at the end of an hour or two...thats what WMS offers. Aristocrat on the other hand would have me play through several hundred dollars with the hope of maybe hitting the big one. Its not right or wrong..its just not my style of play. I also love all the "bells, whistles, and liscenced games" that WMS offers me. Aristocrat games..ESPECIALLY the older games are the most painfully boring games in the world to me. If that was all there was to play I can honestly say I would not play slots. The question really is more like "how do you prefer to spend or loose you money when playing slots." I prefer to be entertained for my dollars so I will stick with WMS. :-)
The safest way to double your money is to fold it over and put it in your pocket....but that wouldnt be much fun!

I believe WMS Pay's Out the most... Aristocrat 2nd... IGT 3rd... I have over 30 W-2's this year and I believe if I look back, probably 25-30 are WMS Games...

Thats what I thought when I realize that once-in-a-while a company like Aristocrat comes out with a garbage slot game like Jaws Bounty Hunter so there are always exceptions to the patterns that some slot makers are known for.
